In the development history of mathematics,due to the introduction of function and variable,mathematics has evolved from constant mathematics to variable mathematics.As an important status of junior middle school mathematics,it is very difficult for students to learn quadratic function in terms of both the normal teaching and the senior high school entrance examinations.In view of the phenomenon,it is expected that by investigating and studying,analyzing the specific difficulties and reasons,students can learn quadratic function well at the junior middle school level,and also lay a solid foundation for further learning of function at the senior high school level;At the same time,it can provide some practical suggestions and reference values about the teaching of quadratic function for local junior middle school teachers.This paper mainly studies the teaching practice of quadratic function in local middle schools by means of literature review,tests and questionnaire,etc.The first part mainly expounds the present research situations and the background of quadratic function teaching and puts forward the purpose and significance of studying quadratic function teaching.The second part mainly elaborates the related concepts and related theories of quadratic function teaching.The analysis of theories is helpful for solving practical problems.The third part investigates and studies two junior middle schools in Wuhai,Inner Mongolia through tests and questionnaires.It conducts data collection and analysis on the current situation of quadratic function teaching and teaching methods.Some problems existing in quadratic function teaching in local schools at present are summarized.The fourth part mainly analyzes the present teaching status of quadratic function based on the analysis results of the third chapter,and puts forward the strategies that quadratic function teaching should adopt.The fifth part combines the actual teaching cases,and analyzes the cases according to the current situation.The means and tools that should be used in junior middle school quadratic function teaching are put forward.The sixth part summarizes the study of the full text,reflects on the inadequacies and puts forward the research direction of the future quadratic function teaching.Finally,it is proposed that junior middle school quadratic function teaching should be improved from three aspects through the analysis of teaching examples.First,we should establish the map of knowledge thinking in the teaching of quadratic function to make knowledge systematized and networked and teaching should be conducted throughthe infiltration of mathematical ideas.Second,the use of multimedia teaching means can stimulate the classroom atmosphere and attract students’ attention and interest in learning and deepen students’ memory.Multimedia software can be used to improve the teaching effect.Third,cultivate students’ good learning ability and study habits.This paper puts forward some methods and suggestions for the teaching of quadratic function in junior middle school.It is hoped that it can help to improve the level of quadratic function teaching in junior middle school in local area.
