Biology experiments are an important part of biology courses and an important c arrier for cultivating students' scientific inquiry capabilities.It is a way for students toacquire biological knowledge through self-inquiry,which helps students to improve experimental skills,form attitudes and critical thinking that respect scientif ic facts,and exercise their own inquiry and decision-making skills.As a product of ed ucation informatization,the micro-course is a new type of teaching resource that prom otes educational innovation and achieves widespread sharing of quality education reso urces.In this paper,taking the PEP Biology module 1experiment as an example,micr o-curriculum was designed for the teaching difficulties of the three types of experiments: observation,verification and inquiry.It also carries out teaching practice with different types of experiments assisted by micro-courses,explores experimental teaching methods that improve students' experimental inquiry ability and autonomous learning ability,and provides teaching resources for high school biology experimental teaching.At the same time,it provides a theoretical basis for the independent development of micro-courses and their application in experimental teaching.The analysis of the examination of the compulsory modules for biology in college entrance examinations in Guizhou in the past five years shows that the average test score for experiments in the annual high examination text is about 5 to 7points,and the examination type is mainly based on verification and inquiry.Verification experiments mainly examine experimental principles and have the ability to verify simple biological facts.The inquiry class mainly examines students' ability t o conduct preliminary research on some biological problems,including experimental design,results prediction,and reasoning.Micro-courses are created based on the content of teaching difficulties in various experiments: targeted features,micromanipulation techniques,and loading production techniques were used as observational experimental content.Verification experiments will include experimental principles,experimental operations,and rational material selection.Inquiry experiments include control variables,background or scenario introductions,general steps and results of scientific inquiry,and description and differentiation of conclusions.At the same time,the teaching process of the three types of experiments assisted by micro-courses is preset.According to the teaching difficulties of various types of experiments,the conten t selection micro-courses are to be selected: observational experiments,selection of ta rget features,micromanipulation techniques,and loading production techniques;Verifi cation experiments will include experimental principles,experimental operations,and rational selection of materials;exploration of experiments to control variables,backgr ound or scenario introduction,general steps and results of scientific inquiry,and descr iption and differentiation of conclusions.And it presupposes the teaching process of t he three types of experiments that are assisted by micro-courses.The micro-course design was carried out using three experiments: "using high-power microscope to observe chloroplasts and mitochondria," "detecting carbohydrates,fats and proteins in biological tissues," and "conditions affecting enzyme activity." A micro-course resource package including 11 video resources,8micro-teaching designs,8 micro-scripts,and 6 micro-study cases was developed.At the same time,based on the development of micro-curriculum resources,carried out experimental teaching practice,explored experimental teaching methods aiming at cultivating students' autonomous learning ability,formed experimental teaching cases,and explored experimental teaching evaluation system.The results of this study not only enrich the high school biology experimental teaching resources and micro-curriculum resources,but also provide a reference for further exploration of high school biology experimental teaching reform.
