With the development of educational theory, the academic community has confirmed from many fields such as pedagogy, psychology, and brain science that early education plays an irreplaceable role in the development of the physical and mental health of infants and young children. In practice, the number of public early education institutions in our country is scarce, and it cannot meet the needs of infants and young children under the age of 3 in the present.Objectively, various commercial early education institutions have emerged. However, academic research on commercial early childhood education institutions is inadequate, and most of them are empirical summaries, lacking data support, and the empirical research on the status quo of commercial early childhood education institutions in Wuhan is even more severe. Therefore, this study selected 7 representative early childhood education institutions in Wuhan City, from the perspective of parents, using empirical analysis methods to explore and analyze the development status of early childhood education activities in Wuhan. The study main used the methods of quantitative analysis and questionnaire survey.Based on the NAEYC early education institution accreditation standards and specific items,a questionnaire was designed based on interviews with parents, teachers, and institutional leaders. The questionnaire was divided into five dimensions: environment, curriculum, teachers, interaction, and effectiveness. The author used exploratory analysis, reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, independent sample T test,one-way analysis of variance and statistical methods to analyze the results of the questionnaire. The research results show that:(1)Parents’ perceived quality of the five dimensions of the environment, curriculum, teachers, interaction, and effects of early childhood education activities is higher than the general level, indicating that the level of early childhood education institutions in Wuhan basically meets the needs of parents;(2)Early education institutions still have certain problems in the environment, curriculum, teachers, and interaction.(3)Parents’ perception quality of different types of early childhood education organizations is different. In terms of overall perceived quality, parents have the highest level of Japanese early childhood education institutions and the lowest in Mongolian early childhood education institutions.(4)Parents of different types of characteristics have different perception quality of early childhood education organizations, among which, different child genders.Parents, men and women parents, and parents of different educational levels did not differ in perceived quality of early childhood activities;parents of children of different ages, parents of different children, parents of different ages, parents of different occupations, parents of different families’ annual income,Parents who spend a different number of times a week with their children have significant differences in perceived quality of early childhood activities.Accordingly, the author puts forward suggestions for improving the quality of education from three aspects of Wuhan municipal government, early education institutions and parents.
