Learning procrastination is a relatively common phenomenon in students’ learning and life.It refers to the fact that in the specific learning situation,students have the idea to complete the task and actually postpone the completion of the task,accompanied by a behavior of negative experience.Learning motivation refers to the intrinsic motivation to stimulate and maintain pupils’ spontaneous learning activities.This study enters from the perspective of learning motivation,bases on learning procrastination,studies the relationship between the two,and provides certain strategies and help for primary school students to ease learning procrastination and improve their motivation.In this study,questionnaire survey method was used as the main research method.449 students in grades 3-5 of a primary school were selected as study objects.The learning procrastination scale was selected from Milgram’s “Learning Procrastination Scale-Student Edition” edited in 2012.The motivation scale was measured using the motivational subscale in the Learning Motivation and Strategy Scale(MSLQ).SPSS19.0 was used for statistical analysis of the collected questionnaires.In this study,oneway analysis of variance was used to study whether primary school students’ learning procrastination and learning motivations differed in grade level,gender,academic performance,and class cadre.After that,correlation analysis was used to study the relationship between learning procrastination and learning motivation.Correlation.Through statistical analysis,the following main conclusions are drawn: The phenomenon of procrastination in the learning of pupils is widespread;the differences in learning procrastination are mainly reflected in gender,academic performance,and whether they are class cadres;the level of pupils’ learning motivation is generally higher;the difference in learning motivation is mainly reflected in There aresignificant correlations between learning procrastination and learning motivation of primary school students;learning procrastination are significantly related to internal motivation,task value,learning beliefs,self-efficacy,and test anxiety in learning motivation.Based on the research results,this study suggests that on the one hand,it can adopt different strategies for different learning tasks and establish supervision mechanisms for pupils’ learning;on the other hand,it can be related to internal motivation,mission value,learning beliefs,self-efficacy and test anxiety.,To provide a corresponding strategy for slowing the learning procrastination of primary school students.
