STEAM teaching refers to interdisciplinary teaching that integrates science,technology,engineering,art,and mathematics.It is based on STS education,STEM is the predecessor,and it develops according to the needs of contemporary education.It enhances knowledge by infiltrating various disciplines.The student's learning efficiency enables students to develop in all aspects and at the same time improve the quality of teaching,which is a reflection of the teacher's teaching ability.STEAM teaching originated from the United States and received attention and practice in many developed countries,and formed a number of related research results.However,STEAM teaching has just started in China and it is necessary to carry out exploration and research under the efforts of educators.In this study,the current research status of STEAM abroad is used to refine the teaching methods applicable to high school biology.Some teachers and students from the No.1 middle school in Tongren City are selected as the research subjects.Questionnaire surveys and semi-structure interviews are conducted to collect data and understand the current situation.The penetration of art education in STEAM,according to surveys,is that high school students are in need of art education in biology classrooms,and teachers' penetration of art education is far from enough.Therefore,it can be seen that the importance of art to high school biology teaching,therefore,The author summarizes the content of art education according to the actual situation.In biology teaching,integrating aesthetics,history,and humanities,and acquiring various skills,knowledge,and attitudes will help students develop more comprehensively.This study is based on STEAM teaching theory.Starting from the two aspects of teaching materials and teaching,the teaching materials fully explore the artistic composition of high school biology textbooks,and improve students' aesthetic ability and ideological and moral quality from the aspects of natural beauty,line beauty,color beauty,and personality beauty.Teaching through language arts(verbal language arts,body language arts,written language arts),fine arts(painting arts,handmade arts),multimedia arts(music arts,visual arts)and social arts(humanities arts,science arts)To increase the richness of curriculum teaching.Through empirical research,it can be seen that the infiltration of art education and biology teaching have significant influence,which not only benefits the improvement of students' aesthetic ability;it is beneficial to students' interest in maintaining biology and the improvement of their performance,enhancing students' concentration ability and improving their attention.It is conducive to cultivating students' hands-on and creative abilities,promoting the formation of self-motivation,and reducing students' learning difficulties.It is also conducive to the development of biology teaching,promoting academic progress,and providing reference for STEAM teaching in biology or other disciplines.
