With the continuous development of science and the demand for innovative talents,basic education has put forward higher requirements for classroom teaching.As an interdisciplinary education concept,STEAM education has become a significant strategy for many countries to develop education.Especially after re-examining the unique value of art in the overall development of human beings,the integration of art and science has moved to a deeper level.Biology has rich artistic resources such as aesthetics,history and humanities.Therefore,in order to better integrate A into the biology teaching of junior high school and give full play to A’s advantages in cultivating well-rounded people,it is very important to carry out research on A’s integration into the biology teaching of junior high school from the perspective of STEAM education.Firstly,use literature analysis to analyze the research background of STEAM education and the integration of humanities and arts(A)as well as the research status at home and abroad,clarify the purpose and significance of the research,and explain the relevant theories of STEAM education.Secondly,use the questionnaire survey methods to investigate the current situation and problems of A’s integration into biology teaching in junior high school from the perspective of teachers and students in STEAM education,as well as the main reasons influencing A’s integration into biology teaching.The survey results show that: the abstract and difficult concept of biology and the limited teaching content in textbooks make students less interested in learning biology,besides most students and teachers do not have a deep understanding of STEAM education.Although most teachers have realized the importance and necessity of integrating A into junior high school biology teaching in STEAM education,we still face many problems,such as tight teaching time,heavy teaching tasks,lack of learning resources of relevant disciplines and insufficient knowledge reserve of teachers.Then,combine with the survey results and students’ existing cognitive level,and based on the research results of STEAM education,the basic principles of integrating A into junior middle school biology teaching are established: highlighting the interdisciplinary nature of biology,giving consideration to both science and art,basing on aesthetic real life,and solving problems arroundig creativity.And put forward the concrete ways: fully excavate the curriculum resources,give play to the artistic value of biology curriculum;Apply modern educational technology means to enhance students’ sensory experience of beauty;Carry out diversified practical activities to encourage students to participate in artistic creation;Establish a diversified evaluation system to promote the development of students’ comprehensive quality.At the same time,based on this,designing the teaching examples from the aspects of language art,fine art,body art,handwork art and humanities art.Subsequently,practical research was carried out in G Middle School,K District,Y City,Shandong Province,to test the practical effect of A’s integration into junior middle school biology teaching from the perspective of STEAM education through student achievements,student interviews and classroom observation scale.Practical research shows that students’ attention and participation in biology classroom activities,as well as their innovation consciousness,humanistic quality,problem-solving ability and aesthetic perception have been improved to varying degrees.Finally,this paper reflects on the research time,research scope,research content and influencing factors,and looks forward to the practical research on integrating A into junior high school biology teaching from the perspective of STEAM education.
