With the extension of compulsory education around the world and the popularization of high school education,more and more attention has been paid to how to improve the quality of secondary education and train students' knowledge and skills needed by society.From the perspective of micro school running,the choice of running mode determines the direction development of the school,and also affects the quality of school.As a type of secondary school with a long history,public school in British has experienced the collision between tradition and modernity and has excellent quality of running schools.Taking St Paul's girls' school as a case study,it analyzes its running mode and characteristics,and compares with our female secondary school,and concludes the Enlightenment form the former,which would help to improve the quality of secondary education from the micro level.This paper mainly adopts comparative method,literature method,case study method and factor analysis method.St Paul's girls' school in the one hundred years of history,has experienced the seed preparation,development and prosperity,wartime and recovery period,continuously improving infrastructure and teaching effect,gradually become the leading secondary school in British.In the concept of running a school,St Paul's girl's school aims to pursue excellence and cultivate students to become independent,confident,expressive,questioning and professional female.In the entrance examination,the school pursues the principle of openness,transparency,equal opportunity and preferential admission.In the curriculum,the school on the premise of attaches great importance to the basic subjects,to establish a flexible curriculum system,to the art education and language education,don't ignore inherit and carry forward of native culture at the same time.On the faculty,St Paul's girl's school need the academic requirements,professional ability and working experience in recruitment of caring teachers.In the student's life,both societies,access,peer community life,and students' life coaching dominated by the school.In the organization and management,the implementation of the board of governors responsible for holding the higher mistress,led to the realization of the administration of teachers and students,resources and safety.St Paul's girl's school has a remarkable effect.On the graduate whereabouts,the college entrance rate is 100 percent,and the admission rate of elite universities is very high,which has cultivated many outstanding females for the society.The contradiction between the elite and the public,fairness and efficiency,feminism and patriarchy on relationship St Paul's girl's school running mode,it is the mode of elite culture,both fairness and efficiency and the characteristics of feminism,but there are also problems such as exclusiveness,single sex education.The running mode of girl's secondary school in China belongs to the popular female education.It has the characteristics of wide audience,quality and so on,and quality education is not up to standard,subject curriculum standard and evaluation mode are absoluteness.Through comparison and analysis,summarizing the localization experience of St Paul's girls' school 's school running mode and the enlightenment that we can learn form the school to Chinese girls' secondary school.Firstly,based on the general goal of secondary education in China and the characteristics of female education,to implement the quality education,which promotes the all-round development of students' moral,intellectual,physical and aesthetic.Secondly,optimize the curriculum structure and teaching process,improve the flexibility and freedom of the course,increase the number of elective courses,and enhance the practical utility and interest of featured courses;Thirdly,the establishment of excellent teachers and the professional training of female teachers;fourthly,enrich students' extra-curricular life,and develop their academic achievements and hobbies.Fifth,make full use of education resources inside and outside the school to maximize its utility;Sixth,adhering to the concept of people-oriented,establishing a scientific and diverse evaluation system.Finally,the safety education should be strengthened to promote the harmonious and healthy development of the students' body and mind.
