A Study On The Construction Of Humanities And Social Studies In American Colleges

The rapid development of contemporary high-tech technology is increasingly and profoundly affecting the transformation of human society,urging and demanding accelerated innovation and construction of humanities and social sciences.The innovation and construction of humanities and social sciences in the U.S.colleges and universities has achieved outstanding achievements,and there are also many problems,has provided important enlightenment and reference value for the innovation and construction of humanities and social sciences in Chinese universities.This has become the main idea of this research.This paper uses the literature method,comparative method,historical research method,and the natural observation method of education social reality to make a concise review of the historical development of the humanities and social disciplines in American universities,focusing on the objective development,subjects,content,and implementation of the discipline,systematically examines the actual development of humanities and social sciences in the U.S.colleges and universities,further analyzes the achievements and difficulties of humanities and social sciences construction in American colleges and summarizes several conclusions that have inspiration and reference value for our country.This article believes that focusing on the development objectives of emerging disciplines,focusing on the guiding role of state apparatus in the construction of disciplines,respecting the dominant position of university teaching staff,adhering to the accumulation and innovation of theoretical knowledge of discipline construction,promoting the integration of interdisciplinary,and promoting the development and linking of the subject groups,nurturing and creating advantageous disciplines,etc.,is a manifestation of the outstanding achievement of the construction of humanities and social disciplines in the U.S.colleges and an important construction measure.Have important inspiration and value for respond to the construction of humanities and social sciences in Chinese colleges inability of high technology and market economy,subject settings can not keep up with the pace of development of the times,the separation of subject curriculum setting and training objectives,etc.
