The "South Tour Speeches" in 1992 and China's accession to the WTO in 2001 all further strengthened its link with the world economy. In recent years, with the deepening economic globalization and the fulfillment of China's WTO commitments,China's economy has been developing rapidly and its economic structure has undergone great changes. In the context of economic globalization, the service industry has been rapidly developing. The added value of the service industry has been rapidly growing. For the first time in 2013,the added value of service industry surpassed the added value of manufacturing industry and became the major industry in the national economy.Service industry plays an increasingly important role in the national economy. In addition, with the continuous expansion of China's openness, the open sector has also expanded from traditional manufacturing industry to service industries.More and more foreign investors enter the fast-growing service industry and seek effective allocation of funds. The service industry plays an increasingly important role in attracting foreign investment. However, while foreign investment has promoted the optimization of China's industrial structure,it has also had a far-reaching impact on the labor market.Among them, the important manifestation is that the entry of foreign capital has changed the distribution of wages among different social groups, including different genders. Therefore,it is the research perspective of this article that how the foreign investment in service industry affects the gender wage gap in the labor market.According to the CHIP2013 data and subdivision standards of service industry, this paper first draws up the employment personnel in the service subdivision industry and matches the workers' data collected by the subcontractor with the service industry.Secondly, based on the gender grouping, skill grouping and industry-specific grouping, empirical tests were conducted to examine the impact of foreign direct investment on the gender wage gap in service industries. Finally, this paper conducts gender analysis on CHIP1995,CHIP2002 and CHIP2013 data respectively, and conducts a comparative study of how foreign direct investment in different periods affects the gender wage gap in service industry. The empirical analysis of this paper shows that the foreign direct investment in different periods has narrowed the gender wage gap of the service industry on the whole and has a certain degree of stability. However, there are differences in different skill groups.Foreign direct investment narrows the genderwage gap of highly-skilled labor but expands the gender wage gap of low-skilled workers.Furthermore, foreign direct investment also has a different impact on the gender wage gap in different sectors of the service sector, narrowing the gender wage gap in technology-intensive industries and capital-intensive industries and widening the gender wage gap in labor-intensive industries. Finally, based on the research results, this paper puts forward the suggestion that we should continue to increase the opening of service industry in a steady and orderly way and should pay attention to the quality and structure of foreign direct investment. In addition, this paper also makes the policy suggestions from the aspects of developing education, strengthening the training of women employees to enhance women's competitiveness, establishing the order of competitive market, improving the wage system and the employment environment of the industry to protect women's labor rights and interests. These proposals strive to improve the gender wage gap in the labor market and promote social equality.
