There is such a phenomenon on the campus. The teacher asked to hand in the homework on Monday. The students and the teacher discussed the issue on Wednesday, but the student's homework was not handed in on Friday. This phenomenon is roughly called academic delay, and there are many performances in academic delay, such as students do not take the initiative to review homework, before the exam, the guns, etc.,the danger of academic delay is self-evident,the direct consequences of the students' performance is affected, but also a certain degree of harm to the students' physical and psychological. Therefore, many researchers in China want to reveal the "mystery" of academic delay. Most researchers studyed the problem of academic delay of college students and tried to explain the phenomenon. However, there was insufficient attention to the phenomenon of delay in junior high school students. This study takes the first-year junior high school students as the subjects, investigates the current situation and causes of the academic investigation, and studies the relationship between self-esteem,self-regulated learning efficacy and academic procrastination, and provides a theory for helping junior high school students to reduce academic procrastination behavior.Through the measurement of 300 students in the first year of junior high school in two ordinary middle schools in Dalian,Liaoning Province.Using spss21.0 and the process of spss to analyze the data and draw the following conclusions:(1)Most junior high school first-year students have more or less the habit of academic delay, but only a small number of students delay the response to learning, and boys prefer to delay than girls.(2)The self-regulated learning efficacy of the first-year junior high school students is in a high level. The belief in students' learning ability is good. There is a gap between the beliefs of boys and girls, and the belief of boys is lower than that of girls.Whether it is the only child of the family also makes a difference in the belief. The self-regulated learning efficacy of the only child is higher than that of the non-only child.(3)The self-esteem of the first-year junior high school students is generally above average, and the results do not indicate that male self-esteem and female self-esteem are different.(4)The level of self-esteem of the first-year junior high school students can effectively predict the self-regulated learning efficacy level. The self-esteem level and self-regulated learning efficacy of the first-year students can effectively negatively predict the academic delay.(5)Self-regulated learning efficacy of first-year junior high school students has a partial mediating role between self-esteem and academic delay. Finally, based on the research conclusions, suggestions are made on how to reduce the academic delay behavior of first-year junior high school students.
