History teaching in high school is an efficient way to develop students' ability of explore history and analytical ability.It is important to enhance the ability of reading which determine the understanding to the problem of material interpretation and the material analysis problem in the college entrance examination.If the students confused about the solution of the problem from material,they don't read material very well.This is a lack of experience in extra-curricular reading skills,reading time and extra-curricular reading.As a new four star high school,Jurong No.3 High School has the characteristics of peri-urban area.In the course of teaching,teachers used to neglect the cultivation of students' abilities development.Their main concern is the college entrance examination matching rate.The teachers didn't pay much attention to students' extra-curricular reading.It can be seen from the survey of students and the statistics of reading of library books.For this case,after three years of practical research,the author has made a book purchase plan suitable for both teachers and students.Teachers gradually transfer the knowledge beyond history in the class and also present the valuable part to the students.The problem existing in the extracurricular reading of Jurong No.3 High School is emphasizing conclusion over process in the classroom teaching of history.There is no enough time for extracurricular reading.We need to elaborate and analyze the problems existing in classroom teaching and extracurricular reading.Through the analysis of the problems,this paper puts forward the implementation strategies to establish the normalization of extracurricular reading of history in order to expand the scope of knowledge;Tap the knowledge beyond history textbooks to serve history teaching and develop extracurricular resources;Create teaching situations to stimulate students' interest in learning and atmosphere of loving reading;carry out effective evaluation,consolidate students' emotional experience.
