This paper aims at analyzing high school mathematical modeling teaching from the perspective of core qualities.This paper first points out the theoretical and practical significance of this research as well as the current research gap.Following that,research findings of the field at home and abroad are examined,on the basis of which concept and theoretical basis of this research are clarified and explained.Next,the author conducts a survey of the senior high mathematical modeling teaching,in order to get the shortcomings and attributions of the current research status,and to explore the principles and strategies of mathematics modeling teaching.Empirical research of this paper is conducted combining literature review,questionnaire and case analysis,and with modeling teaching from three different perspectives as the research object.The results of the study are as follows:(1)Establish the relationship between core literacy,mathematical core literacy and modeling teaching,and then derive the effective model of mathematics curriculum reform in which middle school modeling is the core literacy.(2)Problems existing in the current high school mathematical modeling teaching mainly include lack of suitable textbooks and teaching methods,educators' inadequate emphasis laid on modeling teaching,outdated modeling teaching models,limited professionalism of teachers.(3)High school mathematical modeling teaching from the perspective of core qualities should adhere to the principles as below: principle of progressiveness,principle of wholeness,principle of theory and practice combination,and principle of multiple evaluation.(4)Modeling teaching from the perspective of core qualities can refer to the following strategies: stimulating students' interest in learning,improving teachers' modeling qualities,strengthening research into modeling teaching,and organizing teaching activities revolving around students.
