Children acquire basic scientific knowledge and humanistic literacy through primary school education,which has a profound impact on individuals' education at various stages in the future.And primary school teachers' physical and mental health will greatly affect primary school students' personality development.New teachers in primary schools are faced with two major problems of adaptation and development.Through investigating the current situation of occupational stress of this group,the author aims to explore the relevant factors of occupational stress and put forward some suggestions and countermeasures in order to alleviate these new teachers' occupational stress and provide reference for mental health improvement.This study applied questionnaires and qualitative research comprehensively to investigate the current situation of occupational stress among new primary school teachers,and explored the mechanism among their occupational stress,emotional intelligence and social support.The research consists of three parts: in the first research,the current situation of the new teachers' occupational stress was investigated through the “ occupation stress questionnaires for primary and secondary school teachers”.The second one is a related study of new primary school teachers' occupational stress,in which 542 new primary school teachers were tested by means of the “social support rating scale” and the “emotional intelligence scale”.And AMOS21.0 was employed to verify the emotional intelligence model.The third one is a case study where the characteristics and mechanism of new teachers' occupational stress were discussed through the grounded theory,and suggestions and countermeasures about relieving stress were put forward.Research one,two and three combined together,the author gets the following results:Firstly,new primary school teachers' occupational stress is at a medium level(M=3.06).Among them,the new primary school teachers scored the highest in terms of workload(M=3.58)and the lowest in family and interpersonal relationship(M=2.34).There are significant differences among new primary school teachers in the demographic variables such as their professional titles,teaching stages and whether their teaching subjects are consistent with their majors.The overall differences are not obvious in demographic variables such as gender,teaching age,education,graduate school level,whether he or she is authorized or undertakes the work of head teachers.Secondly,new primary school teachers' Emotional intelligence and satisfaction with social support as well as its each dimension are significantly positively correlated.The total score of occupational stress and its each dimension are significantly positively correlated with the total score of emotional intelligence and its dimensions.The total score of occupational stress and its each dimension are significantly negatively correlated with the total score of social support.Thirdly,emotional intelligence plays a regulatory role in the influence of social support on new primary school teachers' occupational stress.Lastly,the author finds through comprehensive qualitative analysis that there are different situation in new primary school teachers' occupational stress.it is negatively correlated with teaching stages,and has a causal relationship with work fatigue.Furthermore,it is influenced by nine factors such as professional skills,economic income,home-school communication,self-development,interpersonal relationship,quality of life,student growth,workload,and social expectations.And emotional intelligence as well as social support runs through them.
