During the end of Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China,the introduction of Western natural sciences,ideology and culture brought profound influence to the Chinese society at that time,Chinese education had ushered in unprecedented changes.General education,industrial education,higher education,and teacher education have undergone major changes.Compared with the rapid development of urban education,rural education has been almost stagnant for a long time.At this time,a large number of patriotic intellectuals launched a grand rural construction movement to make Chinese peasants get rid of ignorance and change the backwardness of China.Qu Ju-nong was an active participant in rural education reform.As a famous educator during the Republic of China,Qu Ju-nong was known as the “bee messenger”.In 1930,Qu Ju-nong actively responded to the call of “Education to save the country”,rooted in rural areas for decades to engage in education,advocated Construction and education must cooperate,Knowledge and action must be closely integrated,and advocated “power” education and “living” education.Hengshan Rural normal school and China Rural Construction College are successful examples of rural education reform in China.Through the research on the background of Qu Ju-nong's educational philosophy,the content and practical activities of rural educational thoughts,and the characteristics and significance of rural educational thoughts.First of all,the author refers to the archives?related biographies and recollection articles,sorts out his life context and education,and understands the formation and development of education in the context of the times.Secondly,arrange and interprets a series of educational philosophy articles published by Qu Ju-nong,and interprets them in the historical environment at that time,especially in the rural education work during the period of the Ping Church(1930-1950).To understands his educational ideas and developments changes in the context of the times,especially inspection his work in the China Civilian Education Promotion Association,To find out the behavior and thoughts of a patriotic educator from the vigorous rural construction movement of the 20 th century.At last,the study of his educational thoughts,from his educational theory to practical activities,followed his educational footprint,and took the feasible points of his educational thought,to promote the development of the current cultural and educational undertakings.Although his educational purpose and theoretical foundation have historical limitations,but,as an outstanding rural educator in the modern era,Qu Ju-nong have been sincerely fighting for the interests and hopes of Chinese farmers.The spirit of "serving for the people" is worth learning.At the end of the text,the author made an objective and accurate evaluation of Qu Ju-nong's rural education thoughts.
