The property of "Li-nong" in rural educaion refers to the tendency reflected in the rural education process that taking the value of the city as it's core and guidance, belittling agriculture,countryside,farmers and depreciating the rural knowledge and local culture. Educaton with this property has the following charactors: it's ultimate goal is to serve the development of city , it's lessons departs from the rural production and living reality; and there is no feelings and responsibility for the countryside in this kind of education.This paper , taking the village YangYong in LinTan county for example, using the survey method of questionnaire, interviews and participational observation to collect local datas and materials, and using the socialization theory as it's analytical framework, tries to show the concrete progress how the property of "Li-nong" woks, to point out the "Li-nong" property's role in the contemporary rural-urban migration and to analyze it's social causes. This study shows that the property of "Li-nong" in rural education, through four socializational mechanism ( schools, families, communities and media), converts into the farmers' motivation to cities, thereby promoting the exodus of rural population. What's more, under the background of the urban-rural dualistic society, the combination between the city's attraction to the rural population and rural education is the basic social cause of "Li-nong" property.At last, I expect to provide some useful thoughts for China's rural education reform and the construction of new countryside through this exploratory study.
