In order to pursue the most interests of economy,we have relied on the original developing model for many years,which not only does great damage to our environment,but also in turn has a negative influence on the economic development.Hence,aimed at beautifying the environment and keeping steady increase of economy,every province thought most highly of the ecological civilization,considered building beautiful China as one goal of the construction of our socialist modernization,and believed only environmental protection can guarantee the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation.The key to building beautiful China and environmental protection is citizens' consciousness of preserving environment which is impacted by the school cultivation.Fortunately,middle schools have realized the pressure of pollution and shouldered the responsibility of training talents with “Four Haves” and the students of all round development,particularly,morality of ecology.To have a full understanding of ecological moral education in middle schools,the research picked M Middle School as an example to make a further investigation.This paper will make a conclusion of the present ecological moral education,including the pros and cons,as well as analyze the deep causes of the problem.Eventually,explore the ways to cope with the current problems in the ecological moral education of M Middle SchoolInitially,the paper explains the background from environmental pressure,development of human civilization and comprehensiveness of moral education and summarizes the researches related to ecological moral education domestic and overseas.After studying the former relative research,state the research approach and strategy.Meanwhile,figure out the highlights and demerits in this research.Then it's turn to do the research step by step.First,give a brief introduction of beautiful surroundings and qualified teachers in M Middle School.Then through questionnaire survey and interview face to face,have an overall idea of ecological moral education in M middle school.Generally speaking,M middle school has accomplished certain achievements in protecting environment.Initially,Students and teachers attach importance to environmental protection.Moreover,students are equipped with the awareness of environmental protection.Most importantly,daily teaching,students' extra-curriculum activities,school regulation and construction are all involved with the environmental protection concept.The achievements are barely satisfying,but the matters in ecological moral education in M middle school are evident and urgent.It is obvious to find that the school doesn't exert all its strength to promote the ecological moral education as much as it can.On one side,it lacks an all-round institution.On the other hand,in the process of education,students don't play active part as the subject of classes and activities.Additionally,the teaching method is out of date,and the teaching content is unattractive.Eventually,M middle school doesn't invite family to practice environmental moral education.All in all,what counts is that students' will to prevent pollution is not as tough as imagined.After making a deep investigation,it is concluded that what results in the inefficiency of ecological moral education is “selfcentered consciousness” among students,supremacy of grades,faultiness of ecological education system and lack the support from society and family.What's more,the typical character of youth is another reason.Having known the causes,it is not difficult to explore the approaches to the problems.As is suggested,it is essential to enrich the culture of “Green School” and construct a complete ecological moral education system.Moreover,promote the connection between teaching and ecological moral education.Ultimately,upgrade the activities about environmental protection so that more and more students are encouraged to take care of our environment.
