It is said that the structure determines the nature and the nature determines the purpose.Only if the learners master the microstructure of the materials well,they can know well about the nature as well as functions fundamentally.During the senior high school,both the elective and the compulsory textbooks include the knowledge of the structure of matter,which shows out the significant status of knowledge about the structure of matter in the course of chemistry in senior high school.Through reading a lot of relative literature as well as doing lots of relevant practical studies,we can find out that when learning the knowledge of the material structure,students in senior high school always think that it is abstract and difficult to understand.Students at that stage are lack of initiative in their study,and they cannot master the knowledge thoroughly.In such circumstance,this paper mainly aims to study the specific problems as well as the reasons for them with the purpose to propose some corresponding countermeasures.During the process of this research,after reading a large number of relative literature,the writer has found that among so many existing studies,most of them put the focus on the study of the structure as well as the properties of substances mentioned in the third elective textbook,however,only few put an eye to the whole courses of chemistry in senior high school.Therefore,this paper will do research on the current situation of the study of material structure in senior high school based on the theories of constructivism as well as the metacognition theory.The statistic in this paper comes from the questionnaires done with the students of a senior high school located in Inner Mongolia autonomous country in Fuxin,and the interviewing method,the document retrieval method as well as the observing method will be adopted at the same time.This paper mainly does a survey about the influence towards the study of material structure from several aspects such as the students' learning interests,situation of learning,metacognitive level,learning methods,teaching methods as well as knowledge features of material structure,through the using of the software SPSS 22.0 to analyze the results of the research,the writer summarizes current problems existing in the students' learning of the structure of matter as following:lacking of interests in the study of material structure;lacking of the competence of space thinking and abstractive thinking;ignoring making study plans during the process of study;not clearing of the study aims;cannot reflecting and summarizing themselves in time;lacking of the Metacognitive surveillance;the students are lack of existing knowledge and experience,and their learning methods are simplex to some extent.In addition,the knowledge of the material structure are abstract and difficult to study,therefore,students are afraid to receive new knowledge so that it's hard for them to accept new knowledge,and the understanding as well as the mastery of the knowledge is relative superficial.Combining the research result as well as the real teaching practice,the writer would like to propose several suggestions for the teaching of the material structure as following.For the teaching of the material structure,teachers should advocate interest-oriented teaching.Then,teachers should help students to cultivate the competence of abstractive thinking as well as spatial thinking.The quality of the study should be improved.Teachers need to pay attention to cultivating students' sensitivity of planning,methodology,self-reflection as well as summary,so that the Metacognitive surveillance of students can be improved.Teachers should take full advantage of the students' existing knowledge and experience to permeate geometry knowledge in order to set base for the teaching of the knowledge of material structure.What's more,students should be guided to reduce the fear towards the leaning of such knowledge as well as weariness.According to the result of relative research and proposing corresponding countermeasures to design a real case of teaching.After the practice in real teaching process,the writer has found its good teaching result.
