Background/Purpose: Nowadays yoga is becoming more and more popular for its ability to help individuals relieve stress and achieve well-being.However,studies have shown that yoga Injuries are also on the Rise.A lot of the injuries happened when the beginners tried to achieve the complex postures when they were not ready and without proper instruction.To prevent this from happening,it is important to let the participants understand what type of yoga practice is suitable for them and how they can improve their performance.This study was designed to characterize the relative contributions of several simple fitness measures to predict the performance in complex yoga practice.Methods: 101 healthy college students(male = 27.72%,age = 20 ± 3 yr.)were tested.Performance of 7 common yoga poses was measured: mountain pose,bend back,bend forward,riding horse,upward facing dog,downward facing dog and flowing cobra.The participants were categorized into 3 groups basing on their performance(poor,fair,good)and all the groups completed 6 fitness tests,including sit-up,push-up,squat,cow-face,leg-lifting,and back-up,on the same day.Using stepwise regression,the fitness index is the independent variable,the yoga pose is the dependent variable,and the regression equation is established.Through the logistic regression and the receiver work characteristic curve,the fitness index is determined to screen the best three levels of yoga posture.Threshold value.Results: According to the results of logical analysis regression analysis,the fitness index is used to predict the ability to complete the yoga posture,and the regression equations of the seven action levels of mountain standing,standing back bend,standing forward bend,riding type,snake strike type and upper dog type are obtained.(P<0.05).The method of determining the cut-off point was established to establish the best threshold for the fitness index to screen the three levels of solar pilgrimage.The residual values of the verification experiments are all in [-2.2],indicating that the equations have good predictive ability.Conclusion: Six fitness tests(sit-ups,push-ups,squats,shoulder-flexibility tests,active knee-lifting and back-ups)are of great value for the prediction of the basic level of yoga(solar worship)and for screening It is of good value to check the three different levels of the sun.
