Research On The Effect Of Two Different 16 Weeks Yoga Exercise On Physical Fitness Indexes And Functional Movement Screen Of Middie-age Women

Purposes: Different yoga,different body shape and different exercise intensity have different effects on the body constitution of the practitioners.Functional Movement Screen(FMS)could test flexibility and stability of human body,so that we could set a reasonable exercising plan.This study aimed to explore the change of some parameters after the experiment of two different yoga exercise that is finished among middle-aged women,to find out the relation between their body constitution,FMS score and exercise of different yoga after 16 weeks.Methods: In this study,a questionnaire was used to find out 42 qualified subjects,then the subjects were randomly divided into three groups.Test indicators include: 1,Body shape: height(cm),weight(kg)and so on.2,Body function: quiet heart rate(times/min),blood pressure(mmHg),vital capacity(ml).3,Physical fitness: grip(kg),sit-ups(times/min),sit-and-reach(cm),eyes closed one-legged stand(s).4,Body composition: Muscle rate(%)and body fat rate(%).5,FMS test.In this study,the questionnaire survey,literature data,experimental methods and mathematical statistics were used.To compare the data before and after the experiment in group,we used t-test,and single-factor analysis of variance are used to analyze data between groups.P <0.05 is set as the threshold.Result:1.Body shape: After a period of 16 weeks of yoga practice,the average weight value of Yin yoga group decreased from 66.22±5.21 kg to 63.52±6.48kg;the Flow yoga group decreased from 67.54±5.42 kg to 62.03±5.2kg,both were of significant difference(P<0.05).The weight of control group increased from66.78±4.52 kg to 67.01±4.72 kg,the change was not significant.There was no significant change in the height index of each group.The conclusion is that Flow yoga is of higher intensity,the promotion of body shape change is more apparent,but there will be more pressure for practitioners to practice.2.Body function: After exercise intervention,the quiet heart rate of Yin yoga group decreased from 75.5±5.5 to 72±4 beats/min,and Flow yoga group decreased from 76.2±4.8 to 73±5beats/min,with no significant difference in changes.Control group decreased from 72.7±5.3 to 72±5beats/min,with no significant difference in changes.The blood pressure indicators showed a gradual downward trend in Yin yoga group,Flow yoga group,and Control group in 16 weeks of yoga exercise.There was a significant vital capacity difference between before and after intervention(P<0.05)in Yin yoga group and Flow yoga group.In Yin yoga group,that has increased from2631±298ml to 2872±314ml,in Flow yoga group,from 2768±263ml to 3001±291ml,the changes were significant(P <0.05).Control group has increased from2709±315ml to 2700±308ml,and the change was not significant(P>0.05).The conclusion is that Yin yoga and flow yoga have almost the same effect in promotion of cardio-pulmonary function.3.Physical fitness: After 16 weeks of yoga exercise,the seated body's anterior flexion of Yin yoga group rose from 13±3.5cm to 17±4.22 cm,and that of Flow yoga group increased from 13.17±3.12 cm to 14±3.91 cm,without significant differences(P>0.05).The data before and after the experiment in the Control group were14.92±2.47 cm and 14±3.01 cm,there was no significant difference(P>0.05).One-minute sit-ups in Yin yoga group increased from 17.17±2.83 to 18±2beats/min,and that of Flow yoga group increased from 18.5±3.5 to 24±3beats/min,both of them are of significant difference(P<0.05).The Control group decreased from 18.33±2.67beats/min before the experiment to 19.2±3 beats/min,with no significant difference(P>0.05).The grip strength of Yin yoga group increased from 22.42±3.15 kg before experiment to 23.15±3.07 kg,as for Flow yoga group,that increased from22.55±3.82 kg to 24.32±3.75 kg,and as for Control group,that decreased from21.01±2.92 kg to 20.57±3.06 kg,with no significant change(P>0.05).The value of the closed-eye single-legged station of Yin yoga group increased from 7.18±3.25 s to9.89±3.45 s,and the Flow yoga group increased from 9.56±2.97 s to 13.24±3.18 s,with significant changes(P<0.05).The conclusion is that as for seated body's anterior flexion,Yin yoga improved greater than that of Flow yoga.4.Body composition: After 16 weeks of yoga practice,muscle rate of Yin yoga group increased from 31.75±5.18% to 32.83±6.04%,with no significant difference(P>0.05).Body fat percentage decreased from 25.38±4.57% to 24.41±4.33%,without significant difference(P>0.05).The muscle rate of Flow yoga group increased from32.13±6.92% to 34.16±5.1%,and the body fat rate decreased from 26..21±5.11% to24.58±4.1%.The changes were both significant(P<0.05).The muscle rate of Control group kept almost the same,body fat rate increased from 25.50±3.62% to26.61±4.08%,there were no significant differences(P>0.05).The conclusion is that if the length of practice time is basically the same,flow yoga could make middle-aged women to lose more fat weight and the function of improving muscle rate is more obvious.5.FMS: After the experiment,in addition to the indicators of shoulder flexibility,there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the Control group in terms of squat,stepping,arching,active vertical leg lift,trunk stability,and rotation stability(P<0.05).The training effect of Yin yoga group and Flow yoga group in yoga training was significantly higher than that of Control group(P<0.05).This shows that the results of the FMS test movements of the experimental group after 16 weeks of yoga learning changed,and there was a significant increase in FMS indicators(P<0.05).In contrast,Flow Yoga has better effect on the improvement of the basic movement pattern of middle-aged women than that of Yin yoga,especially in terms of the flexibility of front and rear legs and shoulders.By comparing the data of the experimental group before and after the experiment,it was found that after the experiment,the seven test indexes of the FMS in the overall dimension of the experimental group were significantly higher than before the experiment(P<0.05).Improvement of MFS score among middle-aged women between two different types of yoga is almost the same while the mainly improved actions are different.Conclusions:1.Movement intensity of Yin yoga is softer,and Flow yoga has a better function on changing body shape.2.Yin yoga and Flow yoga have similar functions on cardio-pulmonary function of middle-aged women.3.Yin yoga improved scores of seated body's anterior flexion and closed-eye single-legged station significantly,Flow yoga improved scores of One-minute sit-ups and closed-eye single-legged station significantly.Yin yoga has a better influence on seated body's anterior flexion and Flow yoga has a better influence on closed-eye single-legged station.4.Both Yin yoga and Flow yoga could decrease fat weight of middle aged women,and increase muscle rate,but the change is not significant.5.Both types of yoga exercise can improve middle-aged women's joint mobility,promote physical coordination and change the bad posture.The FMS score reflects the function of these two types of yoga is different.
