Sports is a kind of social and cultural activity,which is closely related to mass media.In today's society,the communication and development of sports cannot be separated from the mass media.In modern society,as the main media of sports communication,the publication of newspapers and books plays a very important role in sports communication.The period from 1927 to 1937,known as the "golden decade",is the fastest period of social modernization during the period of the republic of China.As a representative city of China's modernization,Shanghai witnessed tremendous changes during the "golden decade",and the development of books and sports has reached a new height.Through collating and summarizing 13 official books,this article is based on the period of the republic of China sports books published by Shanghai(1927-1937)as the research object,a total of 631 kinds,from the angles of time,type,publisher,author and many other angle of collection of books,and contacting the time background,looks the development of Shanghai sports in 10 years from the publication of the sports books,and tries to fill the gaps in relevant research of of modern sports.The publication and communication effect of professional sports books and sports textbooks was very prominent,which promoted the development and progress of sports at that time from multiple perspectives.This paper regards the sports books published in Shanghai over the past decade as a whole.Firstly,this paper sorts out the bibliography of sports books from the two dimensions: time and category.The first part analyzes the annual distribution of the number of sports books published in Shanghai in ten years.According to the change of number of books published and related to the historical background,policies,laws and educational systems,this article divides the publication of sports books into three periods.1933 is the year with the largest number of publications,so it becomes a separate study and analysis.The second part is the classification and analysis of the publishing types of sports books.According to the classification of the collected bibliography,this paper divides the sports books published from 1927 to 1937 into seven categories,and separately discusses sports professional books and sports textbooks because of their huge number of publishing.Among the professional sports books with the largest number of publications,the numbers and characteristics of the books on martial arts and ball games are prominent.This paper makes an in-depth study on these two kinds of books.The distribution of the number of publishing types shows the characteristics of sports development in many aspects,and the publication of professional sports books and textbooks promoted the development and progress of sports at that time.The third part discusses the publishing and communication of the publishing press,and selects the Commercial Press with the largest number of sports books for research.This article discusses the sports books published by the Commercial Press in1927-1937 from two aspects: time and kind.Showing the situation of the sports books of the Commercial Press.Talking its influences to the society and the sports development in Shanghai.As the representative of the official publishing institutions,the publishing characteristics of Commerce Press provide a reference for nowadays publishing.The fourth part is a study of sports books in Shanghai in the ten yearsfrom the point of view of authors with multiple attributes and different professional backgrounds.The authors are divided into individual author and collective author in the paper,and several representative physical education educators,publishing editors and representative sports organizations are analyzed and studied in this paper.Different kinds of authors compile sports books from various perspectives,which not only enriches the diversification of sports books,but also improves the communication and education of sports from multiple perspectives.Through time,type,quantity,topic selection,publisher,contributor,and many other aspects of Shanghai sports books from 1927 to 1937 is analyzed,the paper shows the basic situation and characteristics of the publishing and communication of Shanghai sports books in the ten years,and the development of the Shanghai sports in modern times,and talks the books publishing's influence on Shanghai society and sports development,and the reference value of the today's sports books publishing.At the same time,the paper summarizes the reference value for the publication of todays publishing of sports books and gives the suggestions for the research on modern sports.
