Study On Integration Of "Five Ideological And Political Initiatives" In Universities In New Era

Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the Party Central Committee,taking Comrade Xi Jinping as its core leader,has comprehensively strengthened the Party's leadership of educational work and attached great importance to the ideological and political education in colleges and universities.Based on adherence to the guidance by socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era of Xi Jinping for carrying out education works,The "Five Ideological and Political Initiatives" have been put forward by Hubei Provincial Government as a new pattern and mechanism for solving problems concerning the existing difficulties and shortcomings of ideological and political works under new era in colleges and universities.Here the paper studies the logic of the "Five Ideological and Political Initiatives",summarizes the practical experience from them and explores the effective path for promoting the integration of "Five Ideological and Political Initiatives",which can be of great significance for the reinforcement of ideological and political work under new era in colleges and universities.The "Five Ideological and Political Initiatives" is a work concept and mechanism,which integrates the ideological and political work in terms of student,teacher,curriculum,discipline and environment together as an overall whole.Among them,student's ideological and political work is the focus,teacher's ideological and political work is the key,curriculums ideological and political work is the handle,discipline ideological and political work is the basis and environmental ideological and political work is the guarantee.The integration of "Five Ideological and Political Initiatives" strengthens the ideological and political concepts of all staff,highlights the key points of ideological and political work in colleges and universities and meanwhile emphasizes the coordination requirements of ideological and political work in colleges and universities.The integration of "Five Ideological and Political Initiatives" is proposed not only based on the fact that the ideological and political work under new era inIV colleges and universities undertakes the mission of high moral values establishment and people cultivation,but also due to the inevitable requirements for adhering to the socialist orientation for running schools,which also stems from the reality that effectiveness of current ideological and political work implementation in colleges and universities under new era is insufficient.In the new era,the integration of "Five Ideological and Political Initiatives" promoted by colleges and universities is conducive to the achievement of "Three-Wide Talent Education",which will be also favorable for establishing of "Great Ideological and Political Education" and "Great Party Construction",as well as building up the atmosphere of unity between explicit talent education and implicit talent education.Colleges and universities in Hubei Province have taken the lead to promote construction of “Five Ideological and Political Initiatives” and have achieved outstanding results.The ideological and political work demonstrates many bright spots and remarkable results,but there are also many difficulties coming in the process of implementation.The main problems lie in that the ideological understanding is not in place,the development is not balanced and sufficient,the demonstration effect is not obvious and the evaluation system is not strongly formed with pertinence.For promoting the integration of “Five Ideological and Political Initiatives” in colleges and universities under the new era,it is necessary to adhere to the principle of taking socialist as orientation for running schools,insist on the work objective of cultivating people with moral values,and in the meantime,establish the ideological and political concept of “Three-Wide Talent Education”.In the process of promotion,it is required to pay attention to the combination of macro-guidance and grass-roots innovation,the combination of comprehensive promotion and key breakthroughs,the combination of content integration and characteristic highlight as well as the combination of teacher-led and student-oriented.By means of optimizing the construction of integrated team,building up the integrated work platform,completing the integrated guarantee mechanism,it can ensured that the integration of “Five Ideological and Political Initiatives” can be implemented effectively and theinnovative development of ideological and political work in colleges and universities will be promoted smoothly.
