Computer Animation Techniques is a comprehensive course based on various science,such as Linear Algebra,Computer Graphics,Digital Image Processing and C++,etc.To better demonstrate the sophisticated formulas and algorithms involved in all computer animation theories and techniques above is the key point to improve the teaching quality.Nowadays,oral instruction is the most common teaching method across different teaching process,and blackboards and projectors are the universal auxiliary teaching tools.In this way,students mainly focus on listening.Interactions among teachers and students are quite limited.Unilateral teaching method is highly limited to the time and place of instruction,and offering few options to build interaction among teachers and learners,which lead to aninefficient comprehension of knowledge.Accordingly,how to use new science and technology to build a new teaching model is a challenge.AR is a good medium for immersive collaborative simulation which is able to build a virtual content into the real environment,and can give users visually instant feedback.This paper presents a visual teaching system based on HoloLens,which constructs a learner-centered teaching mode.The user can actively participate in the setting of the key parameters of the algorithm and render it to learners in real time.Using voice and gesture interaction,and supporting for multi-user collaborative learning,will ameliorate the current situation to better demonstrate the course content.As well,lecturers are able to collect feedback from the learners through the device to offer specific and targeted illustration.This system presents abstract algorithms to students in an accurate and vivid way,and provides an immersive learning environment that allows participation,interaction,feedback,and discovery of problems of the students.The visual display of abstract algorithm problems enables students to increase their knowledge with vivid and interesting images,help them to understand and remember knowledge,and finally achieve the goal of clarifying course content.This paper mainly introduces the design and implementation of computer animation course teaching system based on Augmented Reality Technology in detail.The system uses Microsoft HoloLens head-mounted display device,and carries out hand tracking based on Kinect.It integrates multi-person collaboration,gesture interaction,voice interaction and other technologies.It mainly includes the following modules:teaching content design module,including course content design and interactive interface design;human-computer interaction module,which realizes the interactive functions of the system,including voice interaction,gesture interaction,handle operation;HoloLens collaborative module,which is used to achieve multi-user collaborative interaction,that is,different users wearing HoloLens can see the same scene simultaneously.When one user moves or operates on a virtual object with the same position or posture,the other users can see the changes instantly.In the designed system,every user can wear HoloLens to participate in learning,and communicate with the main server and teachers through Socket communication.It can realize the free learning interaction between students and teachers,students and students in the classroom,and improve the interaction and participation of the classroom.Students can see the concrete algorithm content for experiential learning.Teachers can more easily explain and acquire students' knowledge difficulties for intensive lecture,so as to improve classroom efficiency.
