The rapid development of information technology and the emergence of artificial intelligence have brought about a series of social changes,and the demand for talents in the society is also changing accordingly,which has also caused the reform in the field of education.New curriculum standard points out that the "knowledge-based" high school chemistry teaching should be gradually transformed into "literacy-based" in order to develop the five aspects of subject core literacy,which are “Macro Identification and Micro Analysis”,"Concept of Changing and Thought of Balance","Evidence Reasoning and Model Recognition","Scientific Inquiry and Innovation Consciousness","Scientific Attitude and Social Responsibility".The key competence of chemistry must reflect the instructive function of the subject itself,as well as the state requirement of cultivating students with the concept of taking high moral values establishment and people cultivation,which is absolutely the core aim in the subject teaching process during the middle school period.As an important part of chemical principle,this part is an important carrier of students' core literacy development.Therefore it is always a hot topic in the Entrance Examination to College.As this part of knowledge is abstract,it has become a difficult point for students to learn.The "macroscopic-microscope-symbol" triple characterization is a unique thinking mode of chemistry,which can effectively promote the students to master the basic knowledge,form the basic concept of the discipline,and develop the subject core literacy.On the basis of some related researches,the project in this paper,based on the theory of triple characterization and the students' existing knowledge experience,guided by the curriculum standard,analyzes the teaching contents,sets teaching goals,identifies the teaching difficult points,and then carries out the unit teaching design of "Chemical reaction rate and chemical balance".There are 3 lesson types in this unit teaching design—new lesson,exercise lesson and revision.Meanwhile,a practical research is carried out in order to test the teaching effect of teaching design.In the process of teaching practice,the teaching design based on the triple characterization is carried out in the controlled class while the conventional teaching design is used in the uncontrolled class.Then a comparison of performance is made between two classes.The results show that the controlled class is superior to the uncontrolled class in the development of the subject core literacy.Accordingly,it turns out that the teaching design based on the triple characterization is beneficial to the students' mastery of knowledge and the development of subject literacy.
