We are in a "learning society",we are in the era of knowledge economy,the growth and update of knowledge requires us to keep learning,learn to extract the information we need from the sea of knowledge,learn to read efficiently.Knowledge visualization is a way to help us read effectively.The study of the application of knowledge visualization in the field of teaching is a hot topic at present.Many scholars are exploring to use visualization diagram to sort out the knowledge architecture and establish the knowledge architecture diagram.Reading is the focus of Chinese teaching.Based on the perspective of reading comprehension ability,this study explores the application of knowledge visualization in Chinese teaching in primary schools,so as to provide students with an efficient reading method and teachers with a new teaching method.Combined with the teaching practice findings and relevant literature analysis,the study starts from the current situation that the Chinese reading comprehension ability of primary school students needs to be improved and teachers need to adopt new reading teaching strategies to determine the research theme and explore the application of knowledge visualization in the Chinese reading teaching of primary schools.The purpose of this study is to apply knowledge visualization as a new reading teaching strategy to Chinese reading teaching so as to help students improve their readingcomprehension ability.In order to achieve the above research objectives,the research adopts the method of action research and makes a cycle of action research.The data collection methods include literature review and sorting,classroom observation,questionnaire,interview and text analysis.The data analysis tools include Excel and SPSS.According to the steps of action research,first of all,this study analyzes the present situation of the elementary Chinese reading comprehension ability,which makes the research problem clear.The research problem is to guide students to apply knowledge visualization tools to outline in extracting knowledge from text data points,to construct knowledge system in the Chinese reading teaching,which can promote the students' understanding of the readings and improve the students' reading comprehension ability.Secondly,this paper analyzes the teaching function of knowledge visualization tools,the possibility of using visualization tools in primary school Chinese reading teaching,and the internal relationship between knowledge visualization and primary school Chinese reading teaching.On this basis,the research hypothesis is put forward that applying knowledge visualization tools to Chinese reading teaching can improve students' reading comprehension ability.Thirdly,this paper designs an action plan,analyzes the object,purpose and content of the research,and expounds the specific process of the research,including the preparation before implementation,the design of teaching plan,the implementation of teaching plan,data analysis and summary,and reflection of the research.Then,according to the designed scheme and the constructed teaching flow chart,two stages of teaching are carried out.Finally,through the analysis of questionnaire students' reading comprehension scores,it is found that knowledge visualization,as a new reading teaching strategy,can improve students' Chinese reading comprehension ability.This result provides a new inspiration for Chinese teachers to adopt new reading teaching strategies to improve students' reading comprehension.At the same time,the author reflects on the whole research process.
