The tide of digitization and mobility is now sweeping the whole society.As a result,it is also quickening the paces of change.The ways of learning and reading are constantly changing in accordance with the rapid popularization and development of the digital reading,the innovation of the technical means of the electronic reader terminal as well as the information technology.In the field of education,the rise of electronic textbooks has come into people's sight quietly.And more and more users and researchers begin to pay attention to it.However,most researches on electronic textbooks have been still focused on theoretical level,such as the theoretical discussions,the model construction and so on.The research on the design,development and evaluation of them is still relatively inadequate.In view of the above situation,firstly,attempts were made to take the First Principle of Instruction as the core theoretical support and the educational psychology as the curriculum content in this study.Then,the relevant design ideas and framework of electronic teaching materials in colleges and universities were put forward and summarized here.At last the actual development of electronic teaching materials in Colleges and Universities could be realized.Firstly,the research of the electronic textbooks and the First Principle of instruction in recent years was analyzed and summarized in the paper.Also the existing research was re-thought profoundly.After the thorough understanding of the relevant concepts and theoretical basis of this study,the framework of electronic textbooks was under design.Mainly based on the five elements of the First Principle of instruction,the design idea and overall framework for the development of electronic textbooks in Colleges and universities have been worked out.Then,on the basis of the four modules determined in the design process,the learning resources that are needed for e-textbooks were collected and produced.Thus,the development of electronic textbook for the whole course of educational psychology has been completed by using relevant software.In the last stage,after the electronic textbooks of Educational Psychology have been put into use in teaching,the satisfaction with the design and use of electronic teaching materials was looked into and analyzed in the form of questionnaires and interviews.According to the results of the analysis,it could be verified that the functional modules of electronic teaching materials designed on the First Principle of instruction were of certain universality and feasibility.Finally,the electronic textbooks were revised and upgraded again on the basis of the survey results.Based on the five elements of the First Principle of instruction,the four functional modules for the development of electronic textbooks in Colleges and universities were designed.Not only did it provide an effective design framework for the development of electronic teaching materials of educational psychology,but also it had a certain reference significance for the development of teaching products guided by the prescriptive teaching design concept of the First Principle of instruction.The preliminary explorations that have been made here in the teaching design,teaching resources development and teaching feedback analysis of the electronic textbooks for universities can also promote the practice and development of electronic teaching materials in the field of higher education.
