Under the current education system in China,female high school stu dents have a high level of academic achievement,and they show higher masculi nity in high school life,which creates a certain conflict between their gender rol es and gender role expectations.High school students are also in an excessive st age from immature to mature.Therefore,high school students have become a hi gh-risk group of mental health.Social adaptation is an important indicator and pr otective factor of mental health.In the process of high school generation,gender roles' level of conflict has an important impact on social adaptation.The societ y's expectation of women's gender roles changes with the development of society.Mothers in the family gradually rise in masculine traits,assume more family re sponsibilities,and show higher pursuits of achievement and preference for compe tition.The biggest influence on the female high school students in the family is the mother,which has an important influence on the formation of female high sc hool students' gender roles.The masculinity of the mother also has a certain infl uence on the gender role conflict of female high school students,thus affecting t he social adaptation of female high school students.Therefore,from the perspecti ve of family,this study explores the influence of maternal masculinity on the so cial adaptability of female high school students,and discusses the influence of m aternal masculinity on gender conflicts,and discovers the masculinity of mothers and the social adaptation of high school students.The level of gender conflict i s closely related.The purpose of this study is to explore the role of maternal m asculinity in the social adaptation of senior high school students,namely the role of gender conflict,in order to better understand the relationship between matern al masculinity,gender conflict of female high school students and social adaptation of female high school students.In this study,567 students from four high sc hools in Sichuan Province were surveyed using the Gender Role Scale,Gender Role Conflict Scale,and Middle School Student Social Adaptation Scale.Statistic al analysis was performed using SPSS20 and AMOS21.0.The results show that:(1)The masculinity of female high school students is above the middle level,and the leadership,masculinity,rationality,and generosit y are higher than the middle level.The gender conflicts among female high sch ool students are at a medium level,in which the level of restrictive emotional e xpression is higher and the overall level of social adaptation is also at a mediu m level.(2)There are certain differences in the masculinization of mothers in th e two dimensions of grade and source.There are significant differences in the ro le of gender roles in the only child and grade,and there are significant differenc es in the intimacy between the same sex in urban and rural areas.There are sig nificant differences in the total scores of social adaptation,psychological energy,inter-adaptation,and psychological resilience at the grade level,and there are sig nificant differences in mental energy in the source area.(3)There is a significan t correlation between the masculinity,gender role conflict and social adaptation o f female high school students: mother masculinity is negatively related to gender role conflict,gender conflict is negatively related to social adaptation,mother m ale,the traits are positively related to the social adaptation of female high school students.(4)The gender role conflict of female high school students plays a pa rtial intermediary role between the masculinity of the mother and social adaptatio n.Research conclusions: The masculinity of female high school students can di rectly affect the social adaptation of female high school students,and indirectly affect the social adaptation of high school students through gender role conflicts,that is,between the masculinity of the mother and social adaptation,it plays a p artial intermediary role.
