Since ancient times, the relationship between mother and daughter-in-law is the most delicate and difficult one to deal with in all the family members. The quality of relationship between mother and daughter-in-law could take important effect to family's harmonious. The relationship between mother and daughter-in-law has become one of the most important factors of influencing family and social harmony.The conflict between mother and daughter-in-law is always been discussed as a topic. The discuss of this topic in Academic is mainly in ethics, sociology, literature, anthropology and the other fields. The research content mainly includes thinking about the causes of conflict, exploring ways to resolve the contradiction between them, etc. While the research seldom involve to the mother and daughter-in-law's situation and society's attitude toward this conflict.Therefore, this paper will take young couples who just got married as example to find out youth's opinions to this conflict and their acceptance. And we also want to find out the wife's attitude to husband's manner in the conflict. The main aim of this paper is to let people know the couples' ideas to the mother and daughter-in-law's conflicts so as to offer some guidance to marriage consultation.This paper mainly from the following three levels carried out.First method is to use Literature Investigation to classify and analyses the documents and then find out the trivial tore which is easily to cause contradiction. Also it can offer the literature base to second experiment.Second method is to use experimentation to check young couple's attitude to mother and daughter-in-law's conflict. According to experiment one's result, we cut some video from TV to see the disputes which are caused by trivial tore and economics in the family. Furthermore, it caused the couple's quarrels as the test material. It requested to answer some questions which are connected to the segment after they watched it. The questions mainly related to the acceptance to mother, daughter-in-law and husband's manner and their selection bias of husband's mode of processing.Third method is to use the R/K research paradigm of self reference effect to check married youths' reference effect to their mother and partner. Purpose is to examine whether the young people connects to their mother more or to their partner more. This paper will explain man and woman's different ideas to the mother and daughter-in-law's conflict from the self-concept view.The main conclusions are reached:(1)Married man's acceptance to mother-in-law, husband 's manner or view is higher than married woman.(2)Married woman's acceptance to wife's manner or view is higher than married man.(3)Married woman wishes husband's attitude toward to herself.(4)For dealing methods to the conflicts, when the husband facing wife, he would toward to wife, while in front of mother and wife, he would choose flee or toward to his mother.(5)Most married woman regards community property should be charged by couple, while married man take no sense.(6)Married man can understand the reason of wife doesn't want mother-in-law to charge the community property, while in manner they think the way of their mother.(7)All the young couples appear as self reference effect, mother reference effect and partner reference effect. This shows in the self concept of married youth includes mother and partner. Also, mother and partner has the same important placement in the married youth's idea. In comparison,the married men with his mother's intimate degree is relative taller, and the married women with her spouse's intimate degree is relative taller.
