Mathematical modeling plays an important role in students' mathematical learning.Mathematical modeling ability is one of the core mathematical literacy of middle school students.Society requires people to master certain mathematical knowledge,thoughts and methods,and be able to understand,think and solve problems mathematically.But nowadays in China,the mathematical modeling education in high schools is not mature enough.There is no standard about how to test and cultivate the modeling ability of high school students,and there is no corresponding mathematical modeling questions in the college entrance examination.On the basis of the existing research,I have researched on the concept,element structure and evaluation of mathematical modeling ability,established the evaluation model of mathematical modeling test questions in middle school,and compared the mathematical modeling questions in three national entrance examinations of China,America and Britain with this model.The main contents are as follows:(1)the connotation and the interpretation of structural elements of mathematical modeling ability;(2)components of mathematical modeling test questions;(3)set up the evaluation model of mathematical modeling in the standardized entrance examination of middle schools;(4)comparison and analysis of differences and characteristics of mathematical modeling in international exams.This paper includes five parts: The first part is the introduction,which expounds the research background and significance of this research.The second part is a review of the current research status at home and abroad.In this part,the literature analysis method is adopted to sort out the current research status of mathematical modeling in existing literature,and the relevant concept analysis and element deconstruction ofmathematical modeling and modeling ability are completed.In the third part,based on the Professor Bao Jiansheng's "mathematical comprehensive difficulty model",the essential structure of the modeling questions is completed,and the evaluation model of the middle school mathematical modeling questions is established,which can be used to evaluate the difficulty level of the middle school mathematical modeling questions.The fourth part makes a detailed comparison and analysis of the comprehensive level of the mathematical modeling test in the entrance examination of China,America and Britain,and analyzes the similarities and differences of the modeling test in different countries.The fifth part at the end draws the conclusion and inspiration of this study based on all the comparative analysis.The results show that:(1)in standardized entrance exam,the domestic middle school modeling papers compared with Britain and the United States for the topic quantity than the minimum,modeling test is not close to the students real life,the background of the reasoning process is too simple,which is not enough to test students' ability of mathematical modeling,also cannot let students experience the complete mathematical modeling process;(2)it is very necessary to carry out middle school mathematical modeling activities.Due to lack of experience,it is necessary to strengthen the modeling teaching consciousness of middle school mathematics teachers and develop and accumulate modeling teaching materials.At the same time,it is necessary to strengthen students' subject consciousness of learning and enable students to participate in complete,effective and meaningful mathematical modeling activities under the effective guidance of math teachers,so as to cultivate students' mathematical modeling literacy.
