Development Of Data Analysis Ability Assessment Tool For Middle School Students

Data analysis is an important part of the core accomplishment of mathematics discipline and one of the core contents of international curriculum mathematics discipline.It is necessary and of practical significance to make an in-depth study of the composition of middle school students' data analysis ability and develop scientific and reasonable evaluation tools.Based on the data analysis of the existing research,this study on the connotation and elements of data analysis ability and its training and evaluation research review,SOLO classification evaluation theory for reference to build the "high school data analysis ability level assessment framework",and based on the framework to develop students' ability in data analysis,evaluation tools,the international school of high school students study on measurement and data analysis ability.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)interpret the connotation and structural elements of data analysis ability.(2)build data analysis ability evaluation tool for middle school students.(3)the applicability of the evaluation tool is verified by actual measurement.The research results show that:(1)From the perspective of the formation process of data analysis ability,data analysis ability should include: the overall cognitive ability of data,the ability to collect and organize data,the ability to express and describe data and the ability to explore and analyze data.It can also be found from the existing research on the cultivation and evaluation of data analysis ability that the main elements of data analysis ability include:understanding data,collecting data,describing data and exploring data.(2)The reliability and validity of data analysis ability measurement tool for middle school students are good.In this paper,SPSS statistical software is used to test the difficulty,discrimination,reliability and validity of the measurement tool,and to revise the development tool to improve the quality.The data characteristics of the test well reflect the actual situation of the development of data analysis ability of international school students,and can provide some basis for the cultivation of data analysis ability of international school students.(3)The overall data analysis ability of international school students is good in understanding and collecting data,but relatively weak in describing and exploring data.
