In the context of promoting the connotative development of higher education, the influence of non-intellectual factors on students' academic development has attracted increasing attention.Among them, achievement goal and learning persistence are two important factors reflecting students' learning motivation and learning behavior, which play an indispensable role in students' learning achievement and academic achievement.Previous studies on the relationship between the two have found that mastery of goals plays a greater role in learning persistence than achievement goals. However,as the achievement goal can be divided into two types: approach and avoidance,it is necessary to further explore. This study uses the three-point method of achievement goal, that is,mastering the goal, achieving close to the goal, and avoiding the goal.Taking college students as the research object, this paper studies the influence of achievement goal on learning persistence, and takes self-control as the intermediary to discuss the relationship among the three. This study mainly adopts literature research method and empirical research method. In the part of literature research,it mainly sorts out the concepts, classification and influencing factors of achievement goal,self-control and learning persistence, and puts forward the theoretical basis of this paper. On this basis, the questionnaire survey and empirical analysis method were used to investigate 351 college students, and SPSS software was used for statistical analysis of the collected data. The following conclusions were drawn comprehensively :(1)there were differences in demographic variables of achievement goal,self-control and learning persistence;(2)mastery goal and achievement approach goal have positive influence on self-control,while achievement avoidance goal has negative influence on self-control;(3)mastery goal and achievement approach goal have a positive correlation with learning persistence, while achievement avoidance goal has a negative correlation with learning persistence;(4)self-control has a positive correlation with learning persistence.(5)self-control is an intermediate variable between achievement goal and learning persistence. The innovation of this study lies in the following aspects: first, when this paper studies the influence of achievement goals on learning persistence,it introduces self-control as a mediating variable. However,in previous studies, there were many studies on the relationship between the two of the three variables, and few studies related the three variables. In the previous studies on the correlation of these three variables, primary and secondary school students are the research objects.Considering the difference between college study and primary and secondary school study, this study takes college students as the research object.Second, this study proposes some innovative guiding opinions on the educational activities of college students, which are specifically introduced in the sixth chapter. For example,it is proposed that in actual education, college students should be guided to form healthy habits, appropriately control entertainment, and enhance their ability to resist temptation to enhance their self-control ability,in order to improve their learning persistence. In conclusion,it is hoped that this study can provide new ideas for future studies on achievement goals,self-control and learning persistence. In today's era of network society, intelligent economy and multi-culture,lifelong learning and self-education are particularly important. Therefore, college students should have positive achievement goals, consciously improve their self-control ability and learning perseverance,so as to better achieve self-learning.In the process of education management and teaching, colleges and universities should also pay more attention to the development of students' non-intellectual factors and take active measures to help students grow into talents.
