After the introduction of the State Council No.46 document<On Accelerating The Development of Sports Industry in China to Promote Sports Consumption>,the sports industry ushered in a period of rapid developmen,sports events,as the core of the sports industry,are the key industries to promote the development of sports industry and improve the structure of sports industry,sports events in China are still at the stage of development,by holding sports events to pull the city economy,improve the urban infrastructure,and train the healthy lifestyle of the urban residents,there is an important role to be overlooked.In this paper,literature review,case analysis,expert interview,grey contact,etc.the interaction effect of well-known sports events in famous sports cities abroad is taken as an example,and the interaction effect of sports events and Jinjiang city development is compared and analyzed.The aim is to match Jinjiang's model for holding sports events,and how to promote sports industry growth through sports events,restructure the sports industry structure,and promote urban economic growth,so as to achieve the goal of sports city.Using the SWOT method to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of Jinjiang sports events,the grey correlation method is used to analyze the correlation between the holding of sports events and the growth of related industries,and the following conclusions are drawn:holding sports events can not only stimulate the development of Jinjiang city sports industry,but also can promote the development of sports industry in Jinjiang city.It can also promote the economic growth of Jinjiang City,set up the brand image of Jinjiang City,and enhance the competitiveness and influence of Jinjiang City.The interactive effects of sports events and urban development are mainly reflected in the comprehensive ability of the city and the types,scale,and level of the events;the infrastructure construction of Jinjiang and the bearing capacity of sports events;the atmosphere of urban sports and the acceptance of sports events,and so on.The author thinks that in order to pull Jinjiang better For the development of the sports industry,it is suggested that the comprehensive strength and influence of the Jinjiang city should be promoted first,and the urban infrastructure should be improved;the government should play a leading role in bringing the advantages of the Jinjiang sports industry into foll play;and combining the local cultural characteristics of Jinjiang,Through scientific methods,sports events are selected,sports events are propagandized,and the high level and complex talents needed for holding sports events are trained and introduced.Only with good running conditions can we attract more large-scale sports events to Jinjiang,which will accumulate more experience for hosting the World Middle School Games in 2020.
