The "5E" teaching mode starts from the five key links of "Engagement,Exploration,Explanation,Expansion and Evaluation" to emphasizes that students should learn question exploration and self-construction in the teaching situation of living so as to obtain the scientific thinking,explorations,practical strength and values.Cultivating students'geographical attainments has been proposed in the new round of geographical course,driving the geographical course to keep pace with the times.The purpose of applying the "5E" teaching mode to the geography teaching in the senior high school is to deepen the need of course reform,to optimize the structure of geographical causes and to implement new ideas on course.In this way,it can contribute to constructing high-quality geographical classroom,improving teachers professional competences and skills,and cultivating students' scientific thinking abilities.Basic on The "5E" teaching mode,theoretical constructions and practical researches on "5E" teaching design for senior high schools have been conducted by means of literature review,case study,questionnaire interview and action research.On the basis of theoretical construction,teaching cases have been designed for practical studies against applicable contents.Furthermore,deficiencies and problems found in the implemented process of "5E" teaching mode in the geographical course of the senior high school have been analyzed according to interviews with in-service geography teachers and questionnaires from students joining the experiment.Afterwards,teaching instructions on the "5E" geographical teaching design for the senior high schools have been given.In this paper,we attempt to explore a feasible path of scientific teaching via combining the "5E" teaching mode with the geographical teaching design for the senior high school,so as to make a contribute to achieving the fundamental task of "cultivating students with high moral values".
