The 5E teaching mode is one of the most popular teaching modes in the contemporary educational field in the United States,and it has been introduced into our country at the beginning of the 21 st century.The model is divided into five steps:attraction?exploration?interpretation?expansion and evaluation,which is proposed by BSCS.At present,the high school geography teaching emphasizes the cultivation of the students' geographical core quality,including the comprehensive thinking,the geographical practice force,the regional cognition and the man-to-earth coordination view.In addition,the teaching mode is based on inquiry,which is also student-centered and conforming to the current geography teaching concept.Therefore,investigating the teaching effect of 5E teaching mode has substantial significance to the application of 5E teaching mode in the teaching of natural geography law in senior high school.This research mainly combs the domestic and foreign theories and research results related to the 5E teaching model through the literature retrieval method,uses the interview method to investigate the present situation of the application of the current 5E teaching model in the high school natural geography law,through the analysis,finds out the applicability of the 5E teaching model in the high school natural geography law teaching,and selects the content of the high school natural geography law which is suitable for the 5E teaching model,carries on the teaching design.The general class with little difference in the two aspects of the senior year of Ganzhou Qianzhou Art School is selected as the experimental object,and the experimental teaching material is the middle map version of the senior high school geography compulsory one,which lasts for one academic year(2018.9-2019.1)teaching experiment;conduct interviews with students in two classes to find out the current situation of their geography study;and then use the excel data analysis tool to analyze the effectiveness of the 5E teaching model in the teaching of natural geography law in senior high school by comparing the academic achievements of the students in the two classes.The results show that:(1)The application of the 5E teaching model in the teaching of natural geography law in senior high school can improve the students' classroom enthusiasmand enliven the classroom atmosphere,strengthen the cooperative learning ability among the students and cultivate the students' spirit of cooperation.(2)The application of 5E teaching mode in the teaching of natural geography law in senior high school has changed the consistency of traditional teaching,reduced the difficulty of students' learning geography law,stimulated students' interest in learning and improved the participation in class.(3)The 5E teaching model focuses on inquiry-based learning and develops students' ability of inquiry,independent thinking and problem-solving.(4)The 5E teaching mode enables students to understand the rules of geography in teaching activities,strengthen the understanding of the rules of geography,and effectively improve the students' academic performance.(5)The 5E teaching mode improves the students' comprehensive thinking ability and geographical practice ability to a certain extent,and makes students discover the geography rule in life.
