PurposeThis study measured the percentage of body fat and bone mineral density of special athletes in swimming, skiing, rugby, football, boxing, wrestling, ballroom dancing total 7 special sport disciplines,in order to combine reading a large number of literatures,to investigate the percentage of body fat and bone mineral density of different special athletes. This study wants to determine the range of body fat percentage of different special athletes. Therefore, allowing this study to determine the influence of various modes of training on bone mineral density.MethodsLiterature data method, test method, statistical method. In total 197 athletes(59males and 138 females)were selected from Beijing Sport University,Competitive Sport School and National Team. They were swimming, skiing, rugby, football, boxing, wrestling and ballroom dancing 7 special sport disciplines. The DEXA test was conducted on these special athletes to obtain the body composition and bone mineral density data. After one-way analysis of variance, the range of body fat percentage of different special athletes and the effect of different modes of training on bone mineral density were determined.ResultsAmong the special athletes tested, the percentage of male athletes'body fat was between 15.39%-20.33%,rugby players had the highest body fat percentage was20.33%,and wrestlers had the lowest body fat percentage was 15.39%.The highest bone mineral density of male athletes in wrestlers was 1.53g/cm~2,and the lowest in skiers was 1.14g/cm~2.The body fat percentage of female athletes'was between21.78%-27.62%,of which skiers had the highest body fat percentage was 27.62%,and wrestlers had the lowest body fat percentage was 21.78%.The highest bone mineral density of female athletes in wrestlers was 1.30g/cm~2,and the lowest in skiers was 1.07g/cm~2.Conclusions1.By consulting the literature, combining physiological knowledge, and comparing the tested data to find out the possible optimal distribution range of body fat percentage for different special male athletes:swimming between 6%-12%,skiing at 7%-15%or lower, rugby between 15%-17%,wrestling between 3%-13%,and ballroom dancing between 12.4%-20%.Different special female athletes'the possible optimal distribution range of body fat percentage:swimming between10%-18%,skiing between 10.8%-25.6%,rugby between 20%-30%,and football between 10%-18%,boxing between 12%-20%Wrestling female athletes are between12%-15%,and ballroom dancing between 18.6%-30.1%.2.Combine literature and measured results,it was found that the bone mineral density of swimmers was lower than other sport disciplines;wrestlers had the highest bone mineral density;Female swimmers and skiers had relatively low bone mineral density.
