The development of science and technology and the emergence of the Internet have enabled people to enter the new media era.With the new media platform represented by Weibo and WeChat,everyone in life can become a publisher and spreader of information.Unlike the traditional media,the new media no longer has an absolute monopoly on information,so that individuals have a core position in information dissemination.Everyone in the new media era can speak freely within the scope permitted by law,and increase the pressure on the public opinion management of the university to face the outside world.It brings great challenges to the management of public opinion in colleges and universities.At this stage,China is in the period of social transformation,the changes of major social contradictions,the relative backwardness of ideological education in the Internet age,the special group characteristics of young students in colleges and universities,and the poor induction of external forces,which have made the network public opinion and management problems of colleges and universities more and more serious.University network public opinion is an important branch of social public opinion.Strengthening public opinion management in colleges and universities is a necessary measure to purify the campus environment and maintain the healthy and harmonious development of colleges and universities.Facing the grim situation faced by colleges and universities in the new media era,this paper deeply understands the lyric theory of colleges and universities in the new media era,and uses the crisis management theory tools to analyze the process and management difficulties of colleges and universities in the new media era.The results and existing problems were thoroughly analyzed.Under the premise of studying specific cases,analyzing the network public opinion in the new media era has great social influence.Strengthening network public opinion management in colleges and universities is an inevitable requirement of its own development.Facing the new problems brought by the new media era to the management of public opinion in colleges and universities,the paper puts forward the strategy of public opinion management in the new media era,pointing out that university leaders should change management concepts,strengthen pre-warning of network public opinion,and introduce high-quality professional and technical personnel.We will pay attention to the technical means of public opinion management,play the role of "consulting leaders",establish a complete set of perfect public opinion management system,andmaintain the reputation and image.
