| Due to the influence of historical,cultural and economic exchanges,a large number of ethnic Chinese live in Myanmar,a neighbouring country located in the southwestern frontier of China.For Chinese compatriots living abroad,in order to inherit the culture of their ancestral country,to avoid their next generation being thoroughly Burmese and losing the language and cultural ability of their ancestral country.Therefore,while embracing the local mainstream culture,they actively support the development of Chinese language teaching.When the author participated in Chinese teaching activities in Mandalay-’s Chinese School,he found a series of problems in Chinese teaching in Myanmar by communicating with teachers and students and combining his own teaching experience.Therefore,the author takes two Chinese schools in Mandalay as the object of investigation,carries on the questionnaire survey to the teachers and students of two Chinese schools,and through the comparative analysis of the questionnaire to teachers and students,summarizes some problems encountered by teachers and students in the teaching process.These problems are mainly divided into the following four aspects:first,the content of the textbook is difficult;second,the capacity of the textbook is too large;third,there are defects in the layout of the textbook;fourth,the content of the textbook is not close to students’life.Based on the analysis of the above four aspects,the author puts forward some suggestions for improvement,aiming at these inadaptable factors and combining with the local actual situation,taking his own teaching practice as a reference,with a view to contributing to the compilation of Chinese textbooks in Myanmar in the future. |
