Ancient poetry teaching has always been the focus and difficulty of Chinese teaching in junior middle schools in China.Restricted by resources and environment and other important factors,some rural junior middle schools in China have obvious disadvantages in ancient poetry teaching at this stage.This paper mainly takes three rural junior middle schools in Beizhen City of Liaoning Province as the research object,and conducts a field survey of ancient poetry teaching in rural junior middle schools.Through classroom observation,interviews and questionnaires,the basic situation of ancient poetry teaching in rural junior middle schools was understood.The problems in the teaching of ancient poetry in rural junior middle schools are found,including over-emphasis on exam-oriented teaching,the teaching of ancient poetry mainly by inculcation,the serious formalization of interpretation of ancient poetry,the lack of innovation in multimedia operation and the lack of application of new media means.Then the causes of the problems are analyzed from the perspectives of teachers,text interpretation methods and resources and environment.Finally,in view of the existing problems and causes in the teaching of ancient poetry in rural areas,four specific and feasible teaching strategies are put forward.Strategies include updating teaching concepts,improving the literacy of rural Chinese teachers;grasping the perspective of interpretation,carefully reading ancient poetry texts;integrating limited resources,enriching the teaching methods of rural ancient poetry;integrating teaching with pleasure,creating a strong learning environment for ancient poetry.Through the systematic analysis of the problems existing in the teaching of ancient poetry in rural junior middle schools,this paper hopes that the corresponding strategies can alleviate the pressure on the teaching of ancient poetry in rural junior middle schools to a certain extent,and help rural Chinese teachers find a more suitable teaching method for them,so as to achieve the best effect of the teaching of ancient poetry.
