With its extensiveness and deepness,the heritage of great Chinese traditional culture has become a heated issue in the context of building a culturally strong country of the new era.Ancient poetry teaching has been widely recognized by education experts and scholars as an essential part of the cultural inheritance and all-around qualities in Chinese language for primary school students.It has been a tradition to sing poetry with music since ancient times.However,effective fusion of ancient poetry and music in current primary education has not been well valued,and there are still so many weak points in the strategies of fusion teaching.A primary school in Jinzhou City,Liaoning Province(referred to as "S Elementary School")is taken as the research object in the thesis on the basis of fully grasping the characteristics of ancient poetry and the feasibility of the integration of ancient poetry and music.The current situation of the fusion teaching of ancient poetry and music is investigated in the school by questionnaires survey,interviews and etc.The survey results show that the lack of rationality of the fusion teaching and teachers' professional qualities is prevelant.The reasons can be summarized as the influence of traditional teaching and the absence of the idea of interdisciplinary teaching.In view of this,some practical strategies are suggested in the thesis,including the application of modern teaching methods which guarantees the fusion teaching,the appropriate music teaching which makes the fusion possible and the improvement of teachers' professional qualities which provides qualifications for the fusion teaching.The thesis is intended to render an innovative ancient poetry teaching mode for Chinese teachers and a pleasant and effective way of learning for students in primary schools,which could not only enhance comprehensive qualities in Chinese language for teachers and students,but also pass down and carry forward excellent Chinese traditional culture.
