Since the enrollment expansion of colleges and universities,the scale of the higher educated group has been expanding,and the group's occupation problem have become the focus of the country and society.With the development of social openness,the situation of occupational intergenerational mobility becomes more and more abundant,and occupational intergenerational mobility has become a hot topic in social and academic research.Previous studies on occupational intergenerational mobility have shown that there is a strong correlation between children and paternal occupations.Under the environment of long-term urban-rural dual system in China,comparing the intergenerational mobility of higher educated students in urban and rural areas is helpful to understand the differences,promote the better intergenerational flow of higher education in urban and rural areas and promote the good social mobility.By means of literature analysis,this paper expounds the frontier literature and theory of occupational intergenerational mobility,and the full text always carries out the research method of comparative analysis to compare the occupational intergenerational mobility of higher educated students in urban and rural areas.This paper first explains the theory of social mobility and intergenerational mobility,the theory of social stratification and occupational stratification,career choice theory,human capital theory,and labor market segmentation theory.Then,based on the abundant data of The National Social Science Fund of China project team.Then,the empirical study is carried out.After a brief analysis of social totality'intergenerational mobility of occupation,this paper makes a comparative analysis of the intergenerational mobility of higher educated students in urban and rural areas from the aspects of the whole,different stages of education and influencing factors,and draw the conclusion of this paper is as follows:occupational intergenerational mobility of higher educated students in urban and rural areas all move up,but after the upward mobility has been achieved,the vocational level of urban higher educated students is still higher than that of rural higher educated students;there was a significant difference on the occupational intergenerational mobility of higher educated students in urban and rural areas;the upward intergenerational mobility level of rural higher educated students is higher than that of urban higher educated students.At last,At last,by the way of combining theory with practice,combined analysis of real data and theory foundation,pointed out that the main reasons for the differences in the intergenerational mobility of higher educated between urban and rural areas are as follows:the education popularization and the improvement of societal openness;difference between resource conditions and professional interests;the gap in starting points and the changing employment environment.This paper putted forward corresponding countermeasures:vigorously develop education and comprehensively improve the quality;promote employment development and improve the employment environment;raise economic income and strengthen system safeguard;the policy actively guides,and consummates the supporting mechanism.
