Differences And Trends Of Intergenerational Occupational Mobility Between Urban And Rural Residents In China

The intergenerational occupational mobility reflects the changes of social structure and social system.Since twenty-first Century,influenced by the city,occupation diversification,intergenerational mobility of occupation has changed a lot in our country,and this change will continue.At the same time,theintergenerational occupation mobility between urban and rural areas also shows different characteristics.This paper mainly studies the degree of occupational mobility between urban and rural areas of China and its differences,and compares the trend of the urban and rural areas.At last,we can see the difference of the social changes between urban and rural areas.At present,most of the literature on the intergenerational mobility in China use the log linear model,focus on the reasons for the differences between urban and rural areas,less systematic study of the significant differences between urban and rural areas,as well as changes in the trend of the problem.This is a measure of the contingency table into the relationship between distance index,D index,the index is simple and clear,easy to understand,can be two contingency table differences between ranks of relationship with the distance form.In addition,D indicators can directly measure the difference between the ranks of the ranks of the column connection,as well as the existence of differences in the size of the.This paper introduces the D index and the test statistic,objectively investigated whether significant differences in the occupation problem of intergenerational mobility problems in urban and rural residents,and through the relevant data analysis CGSS2003 to 2013,discussed since twenty-first Century,occupation of urban and rural residents in the intergenerational mobility since the present changes and trends.This paper is divided into four parts,the first part includes the first chapter and the second chapter,the research background and significance are described,and then finishing the relevant research literature at home and abroad and the research situation.The second part is the third chapter,which explains the data sources and data preprocessing methods,and summarizes the basic situation of the occupational distribution of urban and rural residents and the difference of occupational mobility between generations.The third part includes the fourth chapter to the seventh chapter,mainly using D index analysis of significant differences between urban and rural residents intergenerational occupation mobility,and the changes of urban and rural residents occupation intergenerational mobility trends,and further to find out the urban and rural residents in the process of occupation intergenerational mobility of the most significant local differences.The fourth part is the eighth chapter,summarizes the characteristics and differences among urban and rural residents of the existence of intergenerational occupation mobility,and the changing trend of urban and rural residents occupation intergenerational mobility in twenty-first Century after the last supplement the research direction.Through research and analysis,we found some characteristics of intergenerational occupation of urban and rural residents in China flow:first,since the beginning of twenty-first Century,urban and rural residents dynastic phenomenon is still widespread,but there was a weakening trend,the weakening trend in the rural areas in the sample is more obvious.Second,the intergenerational mobility between urban and rural residents is significant,but the difference is decreasing.In addition,this difference is reflected in the commercial,service industry related work,in these two occupational categories,rural residents have strong mobility,while urban residents have shown a heritage.Third,since twenty-first Century,China's urban residents career mobility change is relatively stable,and the mobility of rural residents is increasing year by year.
