Research On Cultivating High School Students’ Creative Thinking Ability By Using Model Construction Teaching Method

Innovation is an indispensable quality of this era,not only in terms of knowledge and opinion,but also in thinking.And education is the key to the development of innovative talents.So how to cultivate creative thinking ability in teaching is one of the problems that educators should not ignore.Nowadays,there are many ways to cultivate creative thinking ability,and model construction teaching method is one of them.Model construction teaching method can reflect the main characteristics of creative thinking,and there is also a close relationship between the steps of model construction and the formation of creative thinking ability.In this study,we formed a model construction teaching strategy which can cultivate creative thinking ability,and we conducted empirical research after analyzing the relationship between model construction teaching method and creative thinking ability training.First of all,we sorted out the theory related to "model construction" and"creative thinking" by using the literature analysis method.Then the definition of"teaching method of model construction" and "creative thinking ability" was defined.By summarizing general steps of model construction and main features and formation process of creative thinking,we summed up the creative thinking form and creative thinking ability corresponding to each step of the model construction.After our analysis,we found that it was feasible to construct creative teaching ability through the teaching method of model construction.Secondly,according to the measures to cultivate creative thinking ability in high school biology teaching,we proposed a model construction teaching strategy to cultivate creative thinking ability.By taking "the process of photosynthesis","the application of cell respiration principle" and "the connection of photosynthesis and cell respiration" as examples,we discussed the effects of physical model,mathematical model and conceptual model on creative thinking ability respectively.Next,we explored the impact of the teaching method of model construction on students’ creative thinking ability and knowledge mastery through empirical research.Regular teaching was carried out in the control class,and the model construction teaching method was used for teaching in the experimental class.The results of the Creative Thinking Measurement Scale showed that the creative thinking ability of the experimental class was obviously superior to the control class in the three forms of analytical thinking,intuitive thinking and evaluation thinking,but the difference in the form of association thinking was not significant.The results of classroom observations showed that the classroom atmosphere and teacher-student interaction status of the experimental class was more active than the control class,and a good atmosphere created space for the development of thinking.The results of the teaching evaluation exercise test showed that the students in the experimental class had better knowledge mastery,analytical model ability and creative problem solving ability than the control class.Finally,we had come to the following conclusions in this study.1.There was a close connection between the process of model construction and the formation of creative thinking ability.2.The model construction teaching method was conducive to the development of students’ creative thinking ability.3.The teaching method of model construction could improve classroom participation of students.
