Research On Gender Equality From The Perspective Of Social Capital

As a universal value,"equality"has been accepted by the whole world more and more.But in the real society,the equality of full significance is impossible to achieve.Although a large number of unequal social phenomena exist all the time,it does not affect people's unremitting pursuit of equality.In the long history of human civilization,gender inequality has been pervasive in almost all societies for a long time.Therefore,an in-depth study of gender inequality will help to further guide people in their efforts to eliminate gender inequality and promote the process of eqixality for all mankind.Feminism contributes a lot to the realization of gender equality.A large number of feminist scholars have carried out extensive and in-depth studies on various gender inequalities,and have achieved fruitful results.The tremendous influence of feminism in academia has profoundly changed people's way of thinking and behavior in the past.Feminism also has a lasting and far-reaching impact on politics,economy,law and other aspects of society.However,it is surprising that most feminist scholars do not pay enough attention to the study of social relations.After all,the ultimate goal of feminism is to change the unequal social relations between the sexes,so the study of the social relations between the sexes should become an important part of the study.Social capital formed through social relations can bring great returns and benefits to owners.Therefore,the analysis of women's living conditions from the perspective of social capital is conducive to further deepening our understanding of whether the two sexes have equal relations.Neglecting the study of social relations is not conducive to the further development of feminist theory.The author mainly grasps the influence of social capital on gender equality through historical longitudinal investigation and theoretical logic analysis.Through the analysis,the author believes that under the current reality of gender inequality as a fait accompli,social capital,as a beneficial social relationship to the individual,can improve the social status of most women,improve their living conditions and further promote the realization of gender equality.On the other hand,social capital plays a two-way role,bringing benefits to women,but also has a certain negative role,that is,the maintenance,continuation and consolidation of male chauvinism.From the perspective of social capital,the plight and shortcomings of feminist theory are revealed,while the twists and turns of achieving gender equality are revealed.At the same time,the impact of social capital on social construction is also very complex and diverse.
