Higher education for women is a very important indicator of the development of national higher education and the progress of social civilizision. It is also one of the most important measure of women's social status and the national modernization of the countries. After the 20th centrury, international society pays a lot of attention to this topic. Nowadays, under the background of higher education popularity in our country, more and more women need higher education and further development. How to effectively keep fair for feminie in higher education is a very important theoretical and practical problem. Feminism theory from western country provides new views and ways for this thesis. Feminism theory is used in this thesis to make this research on gender equality in higher education of our country. It is found that there is a significant difference for different families to invest in higher education. Women obtain fewer resources than man. Women belong to disadvantaged groups in higher education. Women have fewer chances to make formal higher education than to make non-formal higher education. Moreover, Problems that gender is neglected, gender stereotype of teacher is obvious, and men and women are not well-distributed in profession have existed for a long time. The result of education shows that payback of education on wonman is lower than that on man. It is reflected on the following points: it is difficult for women to get a job. There is a significant difference between women and men on chance of obtaining a job, quality of jobs, and salary. In this thesis, it is considered that politics, economic development, traditional culture, home education and developement of self-concept of woman are important factors to influence woman to have fair higher deucation. According to the problems mentioned above, solutions on how to promote developement of higher education for woman are given in this thesis.
