Under the gradual serious problem of aging society in our country, the supply of social labor is gradually reduced, and the population replacement rate is not enough to support the sustainable development of China's economy in the future, the state has formulated a two-child policy to encourage childbearing. However, the formulation of the two-child policy has intensified the problem of female employment discrimination in the job market. The contradiction between female birth and employment has once again aroused the concern of the society. This paper takes married women in the 29-49 age group in Beijing as the research object, and investigates the impact of the two-child policy on women's employment through questionnaires. The analysis of the survey shows that the impact of the national two-child policy on women's employment comes from three aspects, unemployment risk, wage level decline and career development are blocked. At the same time, the two-child policy will also affect women's supply in the labor market, because a considerable number of women said they will return to their families after giving birth to two children. Therefore, the two-child policy will lead to a temporary decline in the supply of labor market. This paper empirically tests the female wages, job promotion, labor supply in the context of the two-child policy through the logistic measurement model. The results show that the two-child policy has a significant negative impact on the employment of women in Beijing, especially in terms of wage levels, job promotion, labor market supply. The negative impact is more prominent. However, the position, the nature of the work unit, and the academic qualifications all have a certain mitigation effect on the negative impact of the two-child policy on women's employment. In view of the above problems, this paper believes that to solve the problem of discrimination in women's employment,we must work together from the government, enterprises and individuals. Finally, this paper proposes solutions to the two-child policy and female employment discrimination from the three dimensions of government, business and individual. |
