As an important connotation of the cultivation of university talent quality,university students’ leadership not only plays an important role in social development,but also is the actual demand of students’ own development.According to the theory of family capital,college students will be affected by the inequality of family capital in their own development process.This influence makes students of different family capital backgrounds show differences in leading traits and leading behaviors.The purpose of this paper is to study the impact of family capital on the leadership of undergraduate students.Then enhance the leadership of undergraduates,and effectively compensate for the differences brought by family capital to students’ leadership.This article combines the content of sociology and pedagogy,supported by leadership theory and family capital theory,and conducts an investigation of the leadership of three undergraduate colleges in N city through empirical research.The research is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which elaborates the reason,content and method of the research,and it lays a basic framework for the research.The second part is the research summary and theoretical basis.The research on the leadership of college students is summarized,followed by the determination of relevant concepts.Finally,the related theories of family capital and students’ leadership are elaborated,which lays a theoretical foundation for the later research.The third part is the empirical research design,including the questionnaire preparation and its reliability and validity,what’ more,it includes the basic information of the subjects.It is an important basis for the research.The fourth part is the multi-dimensional analysis of family capital and undergraduate students’ leadership,including descriptive statistical analysis,analysis of variance,and regression analysis.It is aiming to use descriptive statistical analysis to understand the current status of undergraduate leadership,to obtain differences in student leadership in different family capital backgrounds through analysis of variance,and to use regression analysis to study the specific role of family capital in students’ leadership.This part provides key support for follow-up research;The fifth part is summary and outlook study,including conclusions of this study,cause analysis,and prospect research suggests four aspects and shortcomings.It is the essence of this study.Through the analysis of the data,the study found that there are significant differences between the family capital and leadership variables of undergraduates,and the various elements of family capital play a negative and positive role in different levels of students’ leading traits and behavior.On the one hand,leading traits reflect the leading qualities of students,and family capital has a significant role in the leading qualities of students.The survey shows that in addition to the mother’s administrative level,the more abundant the family capital,the higher the overall level of external participation leading traits of students.On the other hand,leading behavior is a concrete manifestation of students in leading practice,and family capital has a significant effect on students’ leading behavior.The survey shows that the more abundant family capital,the better performance of college students in inspiring a shared vision,enabling others to act and encouraging the heart;what’ more,students with weak family capital are also superior to other students in modeling the way and challenging the process.Based on the empirical research results,this paper believes that the differences in the leadership of college students with different family capital background are mainly caused by social stratification and students’ autonomy.To make up for the difference brought by family capital to the leadership of college students,it is necessary to start from the government,colleges and universities.The government should focus on narrowing the differences in family capital,attach importance to the accumulation of education,and balance the distribution of educational resources;Colleges and universities should pay attention to the leadership education of college students,and pay close attention to the cultivation of students with weak family capital;Students should correctly understand leadership and pay attention to the cultivation of leadership qualities.
