At present,the main task of high school biology education is to enable students to master the main knowledge of the subject as much as possible.The teaching of "core concepts" is increasingly favored by educators because of its emphasis on realizing effect delivery of core concept in class and constructing an exploratory classroom with the essence of science.The model consists of five parts: engagement,exploration,explanation,elaboration,evaluation,which is put forward by BSCS according to Atkin-Karplus learning cycle.Its essence is to help students to realize the transformation of concepts and the construction of scientific concepts.Based on the above thinking.This paper takes "Heredity and evolution" as an example,take "5E" teaching mode as the carrier.It explores the central concept of the "5E" teaching model,the teaching design,the teaching practices and the analysis of the teaching results.It is expected that this study will provide some theoretical guidance and practical meaning for the reform and optimization of high school biology classroom teaching and practical meaning.This study is mainly based on the following research methods;literature research,questionnaire survey,classroom observation and teaching implementation.Through classroom investigation,it is found that most of the teachers in practice schools adopt traditional teaching methods in concept teaching,this teaching method cannot highlight the new curriculum concept of "student-oriented".To solve this problem,the author takes the module content of "heredity and evolution" as an example,Combing related core concepts to this module.According to the "5E" teaching mode,the core concept of teaching case design is made and applied to the actual teachingIn order to test the effectiveness of teaching model,the experiment was carried out in two parallel classes in grade two,the control class was taught in the traditional way,the experiment class was according to the model of improving teaching.According to the analysis two experiment,the average score and significant analysis were involved in it.After the first test,the average scores of both classes improved slightly,but no significant difference.However,the passing rate and excellent rate of the experimental class were 12.97% and 8% higher than control class,In experimental classes and middle student performance is improving.After the second test two class appeared significant difference,The average score of the experimental class is ahead of the control class.,The pass rate and excellent rate were 24.34% and 13.68% respectively.So,this teaching mode can effectively improve student's scores.After the teaching practice,in the experimental class,77.25% of the students hope to continue using this teaching model.Nearly 80% of the students think that they have good language logic,be able to state your views concisely in response to questions,words communication skills have got improved.Through communication and cooperation get knowledge,also exercised the cooperation ability.The teaching practice results of using the "5E" teaching mode to teach the core concepts show that the basic knowledge of students' disciplines can be significantly improved.A mechanical learning method that changes the concept of students' rote memorization.It also has important practical significance for cultivating high school students' team spirit and good speech communication.This research can be used for reference by first-line teachers.
