In order to understand the advantages and disadvantages of the Tokyo Olympic Games'main rivals, using the literature analysis methods, video observation, mathematic statistics and so on methods to induct and analyze on the technical and tactical characteristics of the main players of the Japanese team in the major international competitions from 2017 to 2018.The aims were to find out their advantages and disadvantages when using such techniques and tactics. The results show that Hirano and Ito had high scoring rate in attack after service phase, and Ishikawa had high scoring rate in attack after receiving phase;the scoring rate of these three players were both service rounds higher than that of the receiving rounds;in the single strike technique, these three players mainly used forehand short services, and attacking techniques of the 3rdstrike;in the connection of the 1stand the 3rdd strikes,Hirano used short forehand services followed with forehand diagonal line attack the most;in all combinations,Ito used backhand short services followed with backhand diagonal line strikes the most;Ishikawa used backhand short services followed with backhand diagonal line strikes frequently. Conclusions are the follows:HIRANO Miu had strong ability of attack after service. Her main scoring measures in attack after service phase was backhand loop,a short service to opponent's forehand position connected with forehand loop was her main attack after service tactic.Hirano was weak in attack after receiving phase, the receiving technique to return balls inside the table was relatively dull and singular, and the backhand loop inside the table was the main scoring technique.Hirano also lacked of competence in stalemate phase which mainly reflected in the ability to change ball paths and switch between backhand and forehand. The scoring rate of the service round was higher than that of the receiving round.ITO Mima's long pimpled backhand was her token technique, and her backhand quick hitting strike was the main scoring technique. The short ball serve combined with backhand quick hit was the main connective technique at the service after attack phase.Ito had diversified receiving techniques. When played key points, she often combined chop, cut and hit skills together.Ito mainly used backhand continuous hit during attack after receiving phase. Her stalemate phase was a shortcoming in which Ito performed poorly on forehand strikes and change of ball paths. The advantages of ISHIKAWA Kasumi were comprehensive techniques and good continuity. Her first three strikes were not outstanding with normal performance of attack after service. On the other hand, she relatively more relied on attack after receiving. In attack after receiving phase,Ishikawa main adopted the tactic of control followed with attack in which backhand loop inside the table was the primary scoring measure. In connection of the 2ndand 4thstrikes,the strategy intends to make the opponent move back and forth, pressing the opponents'backhand. In stalemate phase, she relied most on inside-out forehand, running the table to organize her attack, and ability of continuous backhand routs needed to be strengthened.
