Analysis Of Technical And Tactical Characteristics Of Main Players Of Japanese Women Table Tennis Team In Tokyo Olympic Games

In order to make clear the technique & tactic features of China’s major opponent in Tokyo Olympic Games,this study selected the major Japanese women’s national table tennis players Ishikawa Kasumi,Ito Mima and Hirano Miu as research subject.Employing the method of literature review,video observation,statistics analysis,three-phases evaluation method and logic analysis,the study made analysis under the framework of three-phases evaluation method to study the technique and tactic features of the above three players on their service and attack phase(service,the 3rd strike and transition between the 1st & 3rd strike),receive and attack phase(receive,the 4th strike,and transition between the 2rd & 4th strike)and stalemate phase(the last strike,transition between the last and the second to the last strike)through analyzing last years’ matches in which these three players played against the top 10 female players in high level international competitions.What’s more,effectiveness of technique & tactic performance of these three players were compared,analyzed and arranged to come up with the major conclusions:1.Ishikawa Kasumi had advantages on short services,control skills after service,and her advantageous phases was receive and attack phase which was her major scoring phase.During stalemate phase,Kasumi’s forehand had higher scoring rate than backhand and she also performed well in returning balls closing to the body.Kasumi’s weak point lies on her backhand loop which usually served as a transitional strike with lower quality.What’s more,Kasumi lost many points on back hand during stalemate phase.Overall,Kasumi performed not well on the judgment of the coming ball and footwork.2.Ito Mima had the advantage of high quality service and excelling at backhand hit.Mima performed proficiently on service and attack skills with good disguise,good ball judgment,good footwork and powerful 3rd strike.Mima also equipped with many different services with good hand feelings,small movement magnitude,fast returning speed and high quality.She was good at powerful win-or lose playing style during stalemate phase.Mima’s disadvantages appeared on her unstable backhand hit,less effective returns on long trajectory balls,fast playing rhythm which leads to make herself into disorder.3.Hirano Miu had the advantages of hook services with good elusive effect,well-disguised,frequently changes on spin and placement.For her 3rd strike,forehand attack and backhand attack both had high scoring rate.Miu also made frequent changes on receiving with different placement and good stability.In stalemate phase,Miu’s technique system was much clear with the major scoring skills,and she had high scoring rate on forehand diagonal attack.Miu’s weak points lied on her reluctant attack when receiving,low effective return on balls close to the body during stalemate phase,low scoring rate on forehand & backhand transition which had lower retuning quality.
