Geography as a non-subject in the junior high school,teachers and students often position it as a deputy section,not enough attention to geographical learning,junior high school geography knowledge of the weak has become a common problem in junior high school geography teaching.High school geography knowledge span large,with strong synthetic and abstract characteristics,students do not have a solid junior high school geography knowledge,often appear in Ihigh school geography "difficult to learn","do not understand"phenomenon.Studies show that excellent strategies of geography learning can help students to better learn geography and adapt to the differences of geography learning in junior middle schools.How to make students adapt to geography learning in high school by improving geography learning strategy,mastering geography knowledge of junior high school,and studying geography learning strategy difference in junior high school can provide guidance for geography teaching practice in middle school.In order to discriminate the difference of geography learning strategies of junior and senior high school students,this paper investigates the current situation of junior high school students' geography learning strategies using the research methods of questionnaire.First of all,the purpose of junior high school students geography learning there are differences,high school students to deal with examinations and more geography;Second,the level of junior high school geography learning strategies are different:cognitive strategies in junior high school students significantly different,three cognitive strategies are Metacognitive strategy,the use of metacognitive strategy of senior high school students is more mature;In terms of resource management strategy,there are significant differences in the tactics of effort management.There is no obvious difference in other strategies,but the scope of application is not extensive;Learning methods,the use of maps and other means of showing differences.The differences of geography learning tactics of junior middle school and senior high school are mainly related to the difference between the content of geography curriculum and the cognitive development of junior high school.At the same time,the guidance of teachers'teaching also plays an important role.The results of the study have good practical significance for teachers to guide students to change their learning methods,pay attention to the differences in the level of application of different strategies in junior and senior high schools,and adjust their teaching strategies in a targeted manner.By comparing the differences of ideas,objectives and contents of geography curriculum in junior high school and middle school,analyzing the factors influencing geography learning strategies and combining with the differences in geography learning strategies of junior and senior middle school students,this paper puts forward some teaching suggestions for geography learning strategies,For the smooth transition of students to high school geography learning and teachers to help guide the study of geography.
