In 1920,the Labor Relations Course,founded by the Department of Economics,University of Wisconsin,is considered to be the first study in the field of labor relations.After World War II,the second amendment of the National Labor Relations Act of the United States balanced the negotiating power of both sides.From then on,the coordination mechanism of labor relations in the United States has gradually matured.The coordination mechanism of labor relations in the United States is based on the basic model of "National Labor Relations Answer" as the core of the legal system,the government,employee organizations and employer organizations as the tripartite subjects,and the collective bargaining system as the operating procedure.This paper first introduces the evolution of the theory and practice of labor relations in the United States.From a historical perspective,it analyses the evolution of the relevant theories of labor relations,labor law and trade unions in the United States.In the theory of labor relations,through the analysis of the four basic schools of thought,we can have a comprehensive understanding of the relevant theories.In terms of labor law,it has been introduced from the earliest common law and commercial law to the National Labor Relations Act.In terms of the development of trade unions,from the initial National Labour Union,the Knights of Labor,to the Federation of Labor and Industry.It is the continuous evolution of the theory and practice of labor relations in the United States that leads to the mature coordination mechanism of labor relations in the United States.Secondly,it introduces the operation process of the tripartite coordination mechanism,which is the main operation step of the labor relations coordination mechanism in the United States.Starting from the labor disputes between the two sides,the first is the preparation of collective bargaining,the second is the strategic choice of both sides in the process of collective bargaining,and finally,if the collective bargaining is deadlocked,it will enter the stage of mediation and third-party arbitration.Finally,it introduces the main possible direction of change of the three parties in the coordination mechanism of labor relations in the United States.As an interdisciplinary subject,with the development of American economy and politics,new situations and problems will constantly arise.Therefore,it is very valuable to analyze the direction of change of the government,employer organizations and trade unions.
